The 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), nicknamed the "Screaming Eagles" for their division insignia, is a modular airborne infantry division of the United States Army. The 101st was one of several divisions that parachuted into France prior to Operation Overlord or D-Day on June 6th, 1944.

Call of Duty[]

In Call of Duty, the player assumes the role of Pvt. Martin, a Pathfinder of Baker Company of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, part of the 101st Airborne, and parachutes into Normandy, just before the invasion. The player fights with the the 101st through the battle of Sainte-Mère-Église, Brécourt Manor and Bastogne.

Call of Duty: United Offensive[]

In Call of Duty: United Offencive, the player assumes the role of Pvt. Riley, a soldier of Baker Company of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, part of the 101st Airborne during the Battle of the Bulge.

Call of Duty: Black Ops[]

While they aren't seen in game, Intel from the mission "S.O.G." states that Jason Hudson was part of the division. It is stated that he was honorably discharged in 1955.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War[]

During the third scenario in a series of drug-induced mind game sequences in Break on Through, some US Army soldiers are seen wearing the patch of the 101st Airborne on their right shoulder whilst frozen in time. The soldiers are in the midst of fighting Viet Cong guerrillas along a bridge near a small village.

Trivia[]

  • Pvt. Elder trained with the 101st in Camp Toccoa, however he is in the 82nd Airborne Division.
