9mm Parabellum

From the Call of Duty Wiki

A hollow point 9mm right and an FMJ (Full metal Jacket) 9mm left
The 9 mm Parabellum (aka: 9x19 mm, 9 mm, 9x19 mm Parabellum, 9 mm Luger, etc.) is a cartridge originally designed by Germany to fit their newly adopted Luger semi-auto pistol in WWI. Almost every non Communistic country in the world adopted this round for many of their pistols, sub-machine guns, and carbines. This round has served in every major war since World War One. The round is inferior in terms of stopping power to the .45 ACP, though its recoil is significantly lower in both handguns and full-automatic submachine guns. The majority of machine pistols manufactured are chambered in 9mm, as it offers a fair compromise between stopping power and recoil.
