The A-51 II APC is a vehicle that appears in Call of Duty: Black Ops III.

Overview[]

The A-51 is a six-wheel armoured personnel carrier that can also be outfitted with weapons for self defence. The passenger doors are mounted between the second and third set of wheels, similar to the Italian Puma. It has a sensor module mounted on the nose and what appears to be an active defence systems mounted on the rear of the roof.

Trivia[]

  • The company that builds the APC, Diaysler Defense, has a facility for Diaysler Robotics and Engineering on the Black Ops 4 map Arsenal.
  • The Data Vault information lists its armament as 1 Browning M2 and 2 "coaxial" MGs. However, a single Browning M2 is never seen mounted to the APC nor are any of the weapons mounted coaxially. Two variants are seen in game:
    • Model from Black Ops: 2x pintle-mounted machine guns (one of which the player uses), and 2x pintle-mounted grenade launchers (behind where the player is sitting).
    • Model from APC prop in multiplayer: 2x twin-barreled autocannons (or HMGs)
    • A coaxial machine gun makes little sense on a vehicle (like the A-51 II APC) which does not have a turret. Coaxial machine guns work well when paired with a turreted main gun because the turret can aim in different directions. Coaxial on this vehicle, though, would seem to imply mounting the machine gun so it is aimed in line with the direction the vehicle is pointing in--meaning the only way to adjust aim would be to steer the vehicle in a different direction (hardly practical).
