Beretta 1938
From the Call of Duty Wiki
The Beretta Model 38 was the issued Italian submachine gun during World War II by the Italian military. It fired a 9mm Parabellum round from a 10 to 40 round magazine. The most distinctive feature of this weapon was its twin triggers, one for full automatic firing and the other for semi-automatic firing. A highly successful weapon, it underwent minor modifications during its life and remained in production until 1950 before being replaced by more modern weapons.
It was heavily used among Italian military special forces groups such as the paratroopers. After Italy seceded from the Axis cause, many German soldiers acquired this weapon for their own personal usage.
The Model 38 is only featured in Call of Duty 2: Big Red One in which it is a fairly reliable weapon.
It is not to be confused with the similar German MP18 which shares the wooden stock and perforated barrel jacket of the 1938. The Model 38 can be found on every Italian soldier in the level Operation Husky.
