Corporal Bill Taylor was an American soldier who fought in World War II. Cpl. Taylor is the main protagonist you play as in Call of Duty 2, in the American Campaign.

[edit] Biography

Taylor was a corporal in Dog Company, part of the American 2nd Ranger Battalion and scaled the cliffs of Pointe du Hoc on D-Day. Cpl. Taylor helped Sgt. Randall and his fellow squad mates survive the Battle of Normandy and fight until they received reinforcements from surviving members of the 1st and 29th infantry divisions, as well as survivors from eight ranger divisions from Omaha beach. At the end of the campaign, the 2nd Ranger battalion reached the Rhine River. After the battle in the Rhine, an American colonel appears and asks Sgt. Randall whether he would like to be a lieutenant. However, Randall points out that the company would be short of a Sergeant and suggests that corporal Taylor should take his place.

[edit] Trivia

  • Taylor's face bares a striking resemblance to Private Daniel Jackson from the 1998 film, Saving Private Ryan.
    • Also, in some missions, Taylor is either required to use or given a Springfield Sniper Rifle and a Colt .45; Jackson's preferred weapons.
