Yo and welcome along to this weeks news round up. I've made it all boring and formal so feel free to complain.
- 1 Call of Duty: Ghosts

- Call of Duty: Ghosts was revealed early by Tesco and Target. It was revealed that the game will be on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 and will release on November 5th 2013.
- It was then revealed by GameStop that we can expect to see the reveal of Call of Duty: Ghosts on April 30th, with pre-orders beginning the next day.
- Tesco then leaked Call of Duty: Ghosts again today, this time with a new "Product Details" section. Apparently Call of Duty: Ghosts will have a new engine, story, setting and cast.
- Uprising will be released on Playstation 3 and PC on May 16th 2013.
- David Vonderhaar has said that a new "community inspired playlist" is coming soon. However it won't be the game mode "War".
- A Title Update was released on PS3.
- The next generation Xbox will be revealed on May 21st.

After last week’s question about the new maps in the Uprising pack, we’re shifting our attention to the what some might consider the main draw, the new “Mob of the Dead” Zombies map. Featuring some really big Hollywood names as the main cast, how did you guys enjoy the experience? We here at the office found the Alcatraz/San Francisco setting to be very cool, but then again we’re pretty biased as we’re based in SF.
That said, how do you feel the Mob of the Dead gameplay compares to the other Zombies maps? Was Afterlife Mode unique enough to make the game stand out for you? Let us know what you hated/liked in the comments below, but don’t dare complain about the Golden Spork, because that’s just awesome.

Black Ops 2’s Uprising map pack DLC arrived earlier today, so thanks for pulling yourself away for a few moments to read this post! Now that you’ve had a few hours to play around with it, we’d like to hear what kind of strategies you’ve developed for the new maps.
Does the deadly lava in Magma require any special consideration? What kind of loadouts have been working for you on Encore? Have you found any particularly successful ambush points on Vertigo?

Earlier, on chat, it was mentioned that some of the sysops had received some very bad news from an Activision mailing list. I must regrettably inform you that it is probably some of the worst news related to the wiki you will likely ever receive. Here is a screenshot of the email below:
This has come as a shock to all of us, and we will begin shutting down the Wikia sometime tonight. It has been an honour working on this Wiki, and all the users here have been great. I hope everyone can find a better Wiki to work on, and I'd like to thank every editor that has made the Wiki what it is today. I understand there are many other Wikis available to work on, these include Arma, Portal, Rage, Infamous, Littlebigplanet, Farcry, Operation flashpoint, Overlord, Lego and Sonic.
So this is a final farewell to the editors, the sysops, and Call of Duty Wiki.

A big hello to all! As usual, here is a breakdown of all things Call of Duty that've happened this week.
- The 2013 Game BAFTA (pronounced "Burfturr") awards nominees have been announced, with Call of Duty: Black Ops II up for 3 nominations in Action, Innovation (dunno either) and Multiplayer. (See moar...)
- Glorious User of the Month nominations start on the 19th, be sure you have your favourite chat lurker ready to nominate.
- The Walking Dead came back last week. I watched it, but I haven't seen many episodes before so it didn't make much sense.
- Season 3 ponies ended yesterday, butthurt was everywhere.
- The Playstation 4 is being announced on Wednesday.

Hi everyone--
George here - I'm Wikia's lead gaming guy. We're in the final stages of finishing up a new "second screen" project called Project Co-Pilot, and we're looking for some people to alpha-test the app for a few weeks when it's completed.
This is a cool project because it uses all the awesome pages of information each community creates, and automatically serves up all kinds of information to gamers mid-game, based on your location, at the exact moment you need it.
For our first test of the project, we decided to use Call of Duty: Black Ops II, but next year we envision using Project Co-Pilot on many more releases.
For now, however, we just want to make sure it's on the right track. That's where you come in. We're looking for a stalwart crew of 30+ alpha testers who have:
- A copy of Black Ops II (any platform)
- An iPad
- And the willingness to install, test, and give feedback on our app

A big hello to all! As usual, here is the weekly breakdown of all things Call of Duty that've happened this week.
- Call of Duty: Black Ops II was released.
- David Vonderhaar had an AMA on Reddit along with the lead singer of Avenged Sevenfold. The AMA had barely any actual content, but you can still try to pull something out of it here.
- Vonderhaar also had an interview with Forbes saying why the next Call of Duty game you all bought is going to replace Counterstrike as the greatest MLG FPS of all time. (Well, not quite yet, anyways.)
- If you bought Black Ops II for PC on disk (Who actually does that?) then there's a small chance you got Mass Effect 2 on the second disk. Bioware later released a statement saying that the first 50 people to send in a picture of the affected disk would be given the full Mass Effect trilogy for free.
- According to a reliable, anonymous source, leaked scripts for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 are already available. (See more...)

Hello all and welcome to this week's roundup of the news!
This week was a busy week in CoDland, so a lot to report:
- Nuketown 2025 was looked at and the final Gamestop preorder bonus was revealed
- On account of a disrespectful game texture, Favela has been temporarily removed from Modern Warfare 2
- David Vonderhaar discusses gun balance and the IW engine
- On October 11th, new game footage came out on GTTV
- We blogged about the Zombie Bus Deliveries
- Some new info about singleplayer mechanics, and other mechanics too
- VG247 discusses zombies, a new campaign level, and multiplayer
- As you can hopefully see by now, we've rolled out a new,
darker, more Black Ops-esque theme, along with a new logo. There
may be some very minor issues to be ironed out, but in the grand
scheme of things, the theme is complete. We're hoping you like it.
- A gadget will be built to allow users to load the old theme, however this may take a day or two to sort out. Please bear with us.
