Blue Tiger Camouflage

From the Call of Duty Wiki

(Redirected from Blue Tiger)
An M249 Squad Automatic Weapon in Blue Tiger camouflage pattern in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

Blue Tiger camouflage is a fictitious camouflage pattern used in the online multiplayer of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. While there are blue-hued camouflage patterns in real life, none are identical to Call of Duty's blue tiger. The pattern was briefly considered by the United States Air Force, but was unpopular, and was dropped before the production phase.

[edit] Call of Duty 4

It is achieved by obtaining 75 headshots with a specific weapon, or 50 headshots for the W1200 and M1014. It has a pattern much like Woodland and Desert, except it has a black and blue shade. Some players prefer Blue Tiger to Red Tiger because it is more noticeable and striking in all lighting (Red Tiger is almost invisible on some weapons on low light maps like Wet Work). Also, unlike Red Tiger, it actually can provide some camouflage function on maps like Wet Work and Vacant, which feature an abundance of blue hues.

[edit] Modern Warfare 2

In Modern Warfare 2 blue tiger is still a camouflage option, only instead of being blue and black it is now blue and a darker shade of blue. This version is more similar to real-life Russian camouflage. Like Red Tiger, the Modern Warfare 2 version is more pronounced than the version from its predecessor, although there are little to no maps where it functions as an efficient camouflage. It can be unlocked after 75 headshots in multiplayer.
