|Call of Duty: Roman Wars|
Call of Duty: Roman Wars (referred to internally as Fireteam) is a scrapped Call of Duty game that was in development in 2008 by Vicarious Visions. Unlike other titles, the game would have been played from a top-down perspective rather than a first person one.
It was never seriously considered, and didn't even receive a request to be moved to the prototype phase.
The player would have been a member of the Tenth Legion, Julius Caesar's elite force of troops. Weapons would have included Bows and arrows, Spears, and Shields, as well as the ability to throw sand at enemies.
- This should probably the only game in the series where it took place in the Ancient Times rather than during World War II, the Cold War, the Modern Era or the Futuristic Era.
