Call of Duty 2 is a portable version of Call of Duty 2 developed by IonFx[1] and published by Aspyr Media for Windows Mobile. Originally announced in May 2006[2] for a January 2007 release,[3] the game missed its target launch date and was delayed to February 16, 2007.[4] The game was originally announced for both physical and digital releases,[5] but ended up only as a digital download.[6] A disc cover mock-up (pictured on the infobox) was created, erroneously crediting Infinity Ward as the developer. Two versions of the game are available to install: hardware-accelerated (for devices equipped with Intel 2700G or nVidia GoForce 5500) and software-accelerated (for less capable Pocket PC models). The setup wizard automatically installs the appropriate version based on the user's device specifications.[7]
Campaign[]
The campaign contains twelve levels across three campaigns, British, American, and Russian.[8]
Multiplayer[]
On June 18, 2007, a multiplayer patch was released, bringing two new modes called Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch, and new maps including Caen, Libya, Point du Hoc and Stalingrad.[9]
