Carry_On/Lyrics (history - links - logs)[]

So I've noticed this page, I find it to be completely useless for one reason. The lyrics are already also featured on the page for the song, Carry On. Thus, it is unneeded.

The reason I am not putting it up for speedy deleting is because the page is locked. In addition, I will be unable to add the template for delete to it.

Pictogram voting delete Delete — I have to agree with Legos. It's not really necessary to have the lyrics on the song page and a separate lyrics page. Zombie Rank 8 Icon BOII Kylet357 · talk  15:33, March 26, 2014 (UTC)

Keep[]

Pictogram voting keep Keep — A variety of songs both have a main page and a lyrics page. Useless? Maybe, but being able to quickly search for the lyrics specifically if you had too is pretty easy. Maybe the solution isn't to delete the lyric pages, but remove the lyrics from the mainpages and leave a link to the lyric page. Cut's down the size of the articles and is just as easy to access. http://i.imgur.com/KUDLq.png 14:51, March 26, 2014 (UTC)

There isn't too much content on the song pages however, and they could be expanded by keeping the lyrics on the page. All the Easter Eggs would have would be locations of items, very little trivia, and maybe a video or two if the lyrics were removed. And anyways, finding the lyrics on the main page of the song isn't that difficult, considering the already small size of the page. While we can't add much more content to the song pages, we can at least keep the size the same by leaving the lyrics on the page. http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/276/1/2/bionicle__unity_duty_destiny_by_cyberpictures-d6p3li2.pngLegos-Rule-15 Talk 15:11, March 26, 2014 (UTC)

Furthermore, I see no reason for us to have entire pages for lyrics when they are already listed on the page for that song. We have several pages of Zombies songs which also have a separate page for their lyrics, even though they are already on that page. http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/276/1/2/bionicle__unity_duty_destiny_by_cyberpictures-d6p3li2.pngLegos-Rule-15 Talk 14:42, March 26, 2014 (UTC)

I should note that the reason I see it like this is because of the Allocation Points AFD. The article is small, and as long as all the information is on the main page (in the case of that, the Pick 10 System), then there is not reason to keep it. Right now, all votes on that page have been delete, since the info is already on another page. As long as the lyrics are on the page, then why should we have a separate page for the lyrics? http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/276/1/2/bionicle__unity_duty_destiny_by_cyberpictures-d6p3li2.pngLegos-Rule-15 Talk 15:18, March 26, 2014 (UTC)

The entire reason they have been made is because they're used as a template on their main page (like "Carry On/Lyrics" is used directly on "Carry On"). This was done to lower the protection on Zombies song pages, the protection being set because there were a lot of cases where incorrect lyrics were being added. This way only the lyrics can be protected. -- laagone (talk)  15:37, March 26, 2014 (UTC)

Closed - Per my comment above. If you want to propose a change to the system it now is, take it to the War Room. -- laagone (talk)  15:43, March 26, 2014 (UTC)
