Elemental_Knife (history - links - logs)[]

Most likely a glitch that shouldn't warrant an article. The knife does not look any different (comparisons below), is not named, acts identically to the One Inch Punch and is obtained in the way that it's more likely just a glitch wherein you have the effects of One Inch Punch without visually having it. Moreover, when looking at the video that sparkled it (the earliest and most popular), the uploader said it is just a glitch. (I would probably make a video of proof where I would obtain it and do stuff but since it requires more than one people I can't.)

Pictogram voting delete Delete — Per nom. Wouldn't make sense for it to not be a glitch, which really isn't notable then. http://i.imgur.com/4XBy83R.pngAntiScootaTwotalk  00:01, April 3, 2014 (UTC)

Keep[]

Pictogram voting keep Keep — To be honest, per COD:NOTABLE here. It says "Anything the player has distinct access to is covered. This includes weapons and equipment." It has been treated as a seperate weapon, and there's no reason not to. Saying it looks like a regular knife isn't much of an argument, as the Dirty Harry looks exactly like the M1911 but, like the Elemental Knife, has a different function/effect. Also, "Explicitly major items from the Call of Duty series that can be identified by everyone are covered". It is a somewhat major item, being the absolute strongest melee weapon in the game (which makes me believe even more that it isn't a glitch) and anyone with internet and youtube access can easily find it, so it can be identified by everyone. So, I say it should be kept. Zombie Rank 8 Icon BOII Kylet357 · talk  16:32, March 27, 2014 (UTC)

The Dirty Harry is intentionally coded to be in the game. And it is not exactly the strongest melee weapon in the game since it's just One Inch Punch that looks like a knife. Also, while anyone can access it, there's no reason to get it over One Inch Punch (other than hilarity and aesthetics) as it requires you to get OIP and then go down. -- laagone (talk)  16:43, March 27, 2014 (UTC)
According to the article, the weapon is stronger than the One Inch Punch. We would need to test the weapon to find if it is stronger than the Iron Fist (one hit kill after round 36 would be required). I've heard rumors that it is strong enough to last until round 100, but I can't confirm as I currently can't play Black Ops 2 (my PS3 won't update the game). Zombie Rank 8 Icon BOII Kylet357 · talk  17:08, March 27, 2014 (UTC)
According to the guy who discovered the whole thing as well as some others said it lasts only until round 35. Using the article as a source is kind of invalid especially since it doesn't specify how long after round 35 it lasts. -- laagone (talk)  17:36, March 27, 2014 (UTC)
Well, sorry, but the videos didn't show any gameplay past that round. And I felt that the weapon followed COD:NOTABILITY. I sort of dislike how much of my works have been reverted/deleted. But, if we are to delete it, the information should at least in the Glitches page, and we should include a link to the glitch page on the One Inch Punch. http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/276/1/2/bionicle__unity_duty_destiny_by_cyberpictures-d6p3li2.pngLegos-Rule-15 Talk 22:58, March 27, 2014 (UTC)
I apologize if you feel frustration or dislike when your work is deleted, it's not personal and I'm just thinking the better of the wiki. Your contributions are still appreciated nonetheless. However, on the discussion, I don't think there is a need for it on the Glitch page or it having to be mentioned on One Inch Punch as it is simply aesthetic, does not affect anything and doesn't bring anything new to the table (the knife looks normal and the effect is the same as OIP has). Visual glitches like this are here and there over many video games and it's not really anything more than just a little bug. -- laagone (talk)  23:43, March 27, 2014 (UTC)
No problems, I completely understand. I just feel it is a notable glitch, even if it is because of a visual problem. http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/276/1/2/bionicle__unity_duty_destiny_by_cyberpictures-d6p3li2.pngLegos-Rule-15 Talk 01:24, March 28, 2014 (UTC)
Retracting my vote for keep. In this instance of whether it should or should not be put on the Glitches page should be up for another vote call. I probably won't be involved in this, but I still think it's a good idea. Just to see if the others feel the same way. Zombie Rank 8 Icon BOII Kylet357 · talk  02:05, March 28, 2014 (UTC)

Pictogram voting keep Keep — no one knows for sure that its a glitch. the way its obtained is strange, but its strange enough that it could be intended. RisingSun2013 (talk) 21:00, April 2, 2014 (UTC)

You could say that "no one knows for sure" for almost every glitch ever, I'm sure Bethesda never addressed this either yet it's obviously not intended. Given what we have it's much more likely to be a bug than something intended, Treyarch wouldn't add some Wonder Weapon that acts exactly like another, looks exactly like a normal knife, is obtained in such an odd way (as I recall no easter egg to this date in any of the Zombies games requires a player to go down, save for the ending of Pop Goes the Weasel), is not noted or needed anywhere and overall just has no role in the game. -- laagone (talk)  21:20, April 2, 2014 (UTC)
TBH, Bethesda did discuss it, but couldn't really address and fix it iirc. 132527029757.gifArgorrath おしゃべり%E7%95%B0%E8%AD%B0%E3%81%82%E3%82%8A.jpg22:27, April 2, 2014 (UTC)
@mlg didnt the page say it has higher damage than the one inch punch? RisingSun2013 (talk) 22:55, April 2, 2014 (UTC)
Probably but it doesn't count, anyone can add anything on the article. The people who found the whole thing say it's as powerful as OIP. -- laagone (talk)  23:14, April 2, 2014 (UTC)

Split/Merge[]

Comments/Questions[]

If this is to be deleted, then I suggest we move the entire thing to the glitch list page (if it's agreed upon to be a glitch). Instructions, info, etc. all moved there as I do think it's notable enough to be somewhere on this wiki, if not have its own page. Zombie Rank 8 Icon BOII Kylet357 · talk  16:34, March 27, 2014 (UTC)

It's a glitch. The animation seems to be a very strange mash-up of the One Inch Punch and the Knife. The "Elemental Knife" itself is basically their attributes transferred onto another melee weapon. The step inside the robot suggests the game doesn't have a way to deal with a downed player being ejected, hence the effects. 16:47, March 27, 2014 (UTC)

Closed - Article deleted, no evidence supporting that it's nothing more than a bug. For those asking, it will not gain a mention in any other page such as "Glitches" or "One Inch Punch" because it is purely visual and nothing new. -- laagone (talk)  14:50, April 9, 2014 (UTC)
