Call of Duty: Black Ops is coming to Backwards Compatibility on Xbox One
This morning, Microsoft announced the first 104 Xbox 360 games to be coming to Xbox One via backwards compatibility. Though no Call of Duty games were included in the initial list, Call of Duty: Black Ops was specifically mentioned as coming to backwards compatibility at a later date.
While this is great news in itself, as it means Call of Duty: Black Ops will get to live into a second console generation, it's great news for the franchise as a whole. There was a lot of speculation that Activision would not be onboard with Backwards Compatibility, as they would likely want to save Call of Duty games for remasters and the like. Call of Duty: Black Ops Released for Mac!
Call of Duty: Black Ops has just been released for Mac OSX. The game was ported by Aspyr Media, who has made various other ports for Call of Duty such as Call of Duty, Call of Duty United Offensive and Call of Duty 2. The game is currently being sold on steam at 49.99 USD, with the option of also buying the Rezurrection map pack for an extra 14.99 USD charge. You will need a minimum of OS 10.7.4 to run this. You can pick it up at the steam store.

Call of Duty: Black Ops brought to Mac by Aspyr Media
Aspyr Media, which has previously ported games to the Mac, has announced that they are going to port Call of Duty: Black Ops. Expected to be released this fall, digital and boxed editions will be available. For the first time, you can slay zombies on the moon and escape from Vorkuta on the Mac.
To prepare gamers for the FPS, they are offering previous Call of Duty games on the Mac at 50% off, through their GameAgent store.

Black Ops to be released on Mac OSX?
According to this Steam product listing lifted from Steam files, listings for OSX files for Call of Duty: Black Ops and its related DLCs are present.
The last game to be released natively for Mac OSX was Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Between the OSX and Windows versions, there are essentially no differences. If Black Ops is released on OSX, it will be the first Call of Duty game to be released on OSX via Steam.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Double XP this weekend
Treyarch have announced that there will be a double XP weekend this weekend on Call of Duty: Black Ops from this Friday 6pm UTC until 6pm UTC on Monday. Users can also vote for a map to be chosen for the 24/7 playlist on their Facebook page. The three map choices are Firing Range, Summit and Stadium, with the winner being announced on Thursday.
