Requests

Post all requests for blog patrol below this line:

Diegox223

I'm re-applying for Blog Patrol rights (seeing as my now archived request never did got the Yes/No). I know I haven't been so active on the mainspace part of the wiki, but I feel like I've gotten more experience regarding blog comments and such on these 2-3 years I've been here. It's also a tool I might need in the future, seeing as I've been in scenarios where X user breaks a policy in/bumps a certain blog, and no BP user nor admin are available (like just happened 10 minutes ago). I'll gladly appreciate if I get the tools, if I don't, I'll just keep working as ever to try and maintain a civil form in blogs.-Diegox223 Zed's dead, baby.Personal Diegox223 Deadpool logo00:23, May 14, 2013 (UTC)

AntiScootaTwo

I am applying for Blog Patrol rights because I am confident that I would use the rights to their full extent. Whenever I am available, I am on the Recent Changes page, and mainly undo vandalism/bad edits, as you can see here. With this, I see my fair share of policy breaking blog comments and even more comments on very old blogs. Usually, I am stuck with linking the comment in chat/PM'ing if it is offensive, but occasionally no admins are available. Being able to delete these comments would be very helpful to myself and the wiki, and I know the proper templates to use for blog trolling. Finally, I know that I do not have many blog comments posted, but when I do post, I never break any policies and only try to share thoughts/help others. I hope all of this information is put into consideration, as I do believe I could help the wiki more if I had access to these tools. 4XBy83R.pngAntiScootaTwotalk  00:33, August 27, 2013 (UTC)

I have basically the same reasons as Anti, I'm on RC/Wiki Activity whenever I can be, and now that I'm on the news team I have a tendency to watch my own blogs. It wouldn't hurt to have another, I believe, as technically there are only four, and not many that seem to want to sign up. Having to wait for someone have occured more than once for as well. I thought I might apply for the BP rights. Again, the reasoning of me being online at very late times during the week is what I think will make it useful to put me down for the Blog Patrol (as late-night vandals sometimes go under the radar and no one may notice for a while) and I'm always looking at the Wiki activity to check what's going on. I'm pretty vigilant on any vandalism I see and these tools would only help me more on that front. Zombie Rank 8 Icon BOII Kylet357 · talk  21:59, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

Capt. Miller

I've decided to appy for BP rights. Firstly, I'm on when there aren't many admins on. Also, I am always patrolling the recent changes for any vandalism edits on mainspace articles. I sometimes see bad blog comments coming through on the recent changes, and can't link them to an admin since none are on chat/irc. With these tools, I would be able to delete these bad comments. I would also be able to help filter out bad comments with the surge of all the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare news. Thanks for reading.Captain Emblem MW2 Capt. Passed I see no harm. A Blog Patrol in a time zone different to most admins' in the brink of a new game's reveal should come in handy. -- laagone (talk)  14:01, May 5, 2014 (UTC)

Legos-Rule-15

Hello. I'm deciding to apply for BP rights. I believe I'd be able to help the wiki greatly with these tools, as I've noticed that I am on at times when others aren't. I'd be able to rid of bad comments or dead blog comments, and would contact an admin if any serious problems are with the comment. I help prevent vandalism when possible, and these rights will help me more so with achieving that. Thank you for your time. bionicle__unity_duty_destiny_by_cyberpictures-d6p3li2.pngLegos-Rule-15 Talk 16:40, July 12, 2014 (UTC)

Passed - I see no real reason to not give the rights. And reasoning is sound. 17:03, July 12, 2014 (UTC)

I'm applying for blog patrol rights, because I believe that I'd be able to use the tools for the better. I will remove bad comments, and get rid of dead log comments. I will definitely stop vandalism. Plus I'll make sure no one is harassing others, and I will absolutely contact an admin if any problems with a comment is out of control. My whole goal is to make sure blogs and comments are in good condition and stop problems if possible. gorillaz_2_d_icon_by_retardparade-d6avfyv.gif Super Gamer Ghost 04:21, September 2, 2014 (UTC)

Declined - I don't doubt your enthusiasm to help, nor do i doubt your good intentions from the look of the request, my only gripe is that you have 0 activity with blogs currently. As well as the fact that you've only started editing a month ago. I'd say you should take a little time, and just interact with blogs, edit a bit more and gain a bit more experience, and then give it another shot. KλT 06:59, September 2, 2014 (UTC)

RisingSun2013

Hi, I'm RisingSun2013, and I would like to apply for Blog patrol rights. I actively comment on blogs, check the recent changes, and also undo vandalism, so this would help as it would be another tool for me to help counter vandalism as well as other kinds of bad comments.

As with my request for Rollback rights, again a problem I see is not being on all that much, and another is, I know some of the comments to delete like ones that are trolling or vandalism or ones that bump a dead blog, but it would be appreciated if along with being granted the rights I was told what all should be deleted, for maximum efficiency (I know it's bad I don't know all the types to delete but I'll know if I'm not told, so even if this doesn't pass it would be appreciated if someone could tell me). RisingSun2013 21:43, October 29, 2014 (UTC)

Accepted - I think you're trustworthy enough to be given these rights. Also, it's mostly the ones you mentioned, and ones you see on the list of prewritten summaries when you delete a comment (like "Bumping a dead blog"), chances are if you don't see an appropriate reason on the list you shouldn't delete it. Use common sense, and if you need help, don't be afraid to ask me or another BP/admin. -- laagone (talk)  00:01, October 30, 2014 (UTC)

Soap Shadow

I would like to apply for BP rights because I think I would be able to use these tools to help the wiki. I actively check the wiki activity and I also do anti-vandalism work on mainspace. I am sometimes active when there is a lack of users with BP rights.

The only thing I don't do is commenting on blogs, so if I don't get BP rights, I don't really mind as I can see clearly see the reason why. I am also thinking of joining the news team so this tool will be a great addition. RooTm3q.png Soap Shadow · Talk  12:32, January 24, 2015 (UTC)

Passed - Your news blogs are high quality, these rights should help you patrol them more efficiently. KλT 06:32, February 18, 2015 (UTC)

YellowLucario

As well as with my Custodian request, I feel that me having these rights will benefit the wiki and cause no harm in doing so. On my medium-sized wiki, I occasionally have to deal with forums and blogs that are not suitable, and the comments that need to be removed. In fact, this is probably the main thing that I have to do on it. Likewise, I maintain the Facebook page where occasionally dodgy comments need to be removed. This experience can be easily transferred over to the Call of Duty Wiki where I will do nothing but benefit the wiki should a situation arise where these tools are required.
