Here is the page where you can request to join Project:The Image Guardians.
You don't need to have any specific requirements. If you feel you're up to the job, leave a request and a bureaucrat will evaluate it and grant the rights at their wish.
Remember to read the guide on the Usergroup page to know what you need to do. If you're found to not be capable of doing what you're expected to do, you will be removed from the group.
My amount of Filespace edits are not very numerous (a little short of 300), I do keep a close eye on New Images and am alwayas searching for unlicensed images. I also help inform other users on how to license there images via talk page. I see a good bit of images with improper names that need to be changed, while most of them are caught by other Custodians I believe that I could help this wiki out even more if I where to gain these tools. have also helped catch a inappropraite image and got it deleted off our filespace. For these reasons I think the wiki could benifit from me being granted these tools. 16:40, December 22, 2011 (UTC)

As a person whose edits are primarily filespace. I feel I would be able to help with new images and such. Whilst my editcount as a whole is low compared to other peoples, I believe my knowledge with regard to proper licensing, suitable filenames and actually editing uploaded images to a better quality or such is enough to actually be of use for image maintenance.18:36, January 20, 2012 (UTC)

With these tools I believe that I can help improve the wiki. I have found images with improper names, and with this tools I can renamed them properly. I have uploaded images and I know how to license them properly (save for the first image I uploaded). Thank you for your consideration.18:14, March 4, 2012 (UTC)
- Just putting my two cents in, 33 Filespace edit's isn't enough experience to be a custodian in my opinion (Especially when most of them are personal images). -- 00:04, March 10, 2012 (UTC)
I am well aware you're a great editor, but just some more experience with file editing is needed before I can comfortably give out the rights.22:42, March 14, 2012 (UTC)

With the Image overhaul coming up, I want to help out with it, so other people would not have so hard and with another person helping out, then the entire overhaul could be done faster.18:35, April 9, 2012 (UTC)
I have a fair amount of filespace edits and have been reading the rules for the past while to make sure I know all of them. KATANAGOD and I were discussing the wiki over Xbox and he has stated that he would like someone to work with when it comes to his filesearcher page. He also stated how he felt as if Image Guardians needed more members as many have gone inactive. Thank you for your time. 00:45, March 18, 2012 (UTC)

I would like to join the custodians. Because the image renaming project has (rather unofficially) kicked off, I feel left in the dust not having anything to contribute to the project. Although I have a substandard amount of filespace edits, I will work my hardest if given the opportunity. I know many images that have been uploaded with vague names, and I've read the rules to understand how custodians work around here.11:51, April 9, 2012 (UTC)

I started making filespace edits only yesterday. Since then I have
been spamming the RC gone through all 29.8 thousand images on this wiki and labelled over 535 images for movement. While I am OK with simply labeling the images for movement and letting the custodians/admins move them for me, I think I be much more effective at maintaining the filespace by moving them myself. --Guitar t-boneTalk to AJ 10:35, April 10, 2012 (UTC)

MLG recommended this to me, I would like to join the usergroup and also worked with filespace before (about 400 filespace edits). I could also watch new images as well, put the proper license if needed and I've seen images that needs better naming. If declined, I don't mind. 12:47, May 5, 2012 (UTC)

While I don't have too many filespace edits, I certainly know what I'm doing and know how to license. I have been watching and learning for about a year now and have been recommended by some of the chat crew (notably ParagonX7 to apply for the rights. I will demonstrate perfect use of the tools and use them appropriately. With the Black Ops II surge of images beginning to come in, I believe I, with nearly 2 years editing experience, will be perfect to help the wiki with the images. 12:57, May 7, 2012 (UTC)
Withdrawn because I can't be bothered working with files. My main focus will be helping out chat, newcomers and having less work to do as the longest-serving user without rights here.17:09, June 23, 2012 (UTC)
I think I should be in this because every day I try to find unlicensed images....so I think I could get the job done. I have only worked with Filespace Edits on occasion. I think I could try my best, I have only a couple of months of editing experience however. This is just a attempt, I am not expecting you to say yes. So thank you for your patience

I would like to apply for Custodian rights for multiple reasons. First, I always have recent changes open if I am on my computer, so I am usually one of the first (if not the first) to see uploaded images and files. Recently I have been resorting to sticking Sdelete tags on inappropriate/bad images or linking them in chat for a custodian to deal with them. Also, while only having slightly over 150 file edits, I do know the image naming policy and licensing. I do think I am up for whatever work is required for this position, and I will make great use of the tools whenever they are required. Talk page 01:28, March 28, 2013 (UTC)
I would like to reapply for custodian rights because I have always had New Photos and New Videos on my browser, so usually I can assist one there is a mass image violation spree going about. I think trying again would be good considering I have looked over the image policies multiple times after my rights were taken. I will make great use of the tools should I have them be given to me. With 66 filespace edits and 26 categorization edits I do think I can reapply for the tools. Thank you,15:27, April 13, 2013 (UTC)
- Declined - I feel you still need more filespace edits. 16:34, April 16, 2013 (UTC)
I would like to apply for Custodian rights for a few different reasons. I've been cleaning up a lot of weapon galleries that are in desperate need of transparency, and I plan on finishing off most of the category of images needing transparency. But a lot of those images are JPGs, and need to be deleted after being re-uploaded. It would be much easier to delete them myself rather than bugging a custodian or admin to do it for me, same goes for finding files that need to be re-named. I've uploaded a fair amount of images, all licensed and categorized properly. I don't have a huge amount of filespace edits, roughly 120, but that number is always increasing. I'd like to continue helping clean up with the proper tools, they would be very resourceful. Thank you. TheUltimateH4M Talk 00:40, June 13, 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Slav wanted me to try and have custodian mainly because he needs a active helping hand in the file space. I have also wanted them for some time because it can improve my contributions to wikia, as well as make it easier for me to fix images and rearrange them into their proper order. I feel that if I have the tools, I can make good use of them in the proper way and also help more users like Slav with the main file space. When I can, I categorize images as well as license them, at least, before another custodian does it first. I am active as well watching the file space when I can as well. Thank you, 23:02, November 9, 2013 (UTC)
- Declined - It's irrelevant if an admin wants you to get the rights, actual input into the file space is what is needed. Looking at your file space contributions you only have 1 recent file space edit, and then the rest are from May. If you wish to get the rights please put some effort into the file space first, and then make a new request. 04:31, November 10, 2013 (UTC)
I would like to acquire Custodian rights. Having joined recently, I have just reached a little off 100 images. With this tool, I could properly license and rename images. It could also help me with moving images to different articles. I think I have enough experience with images for this job. Also, I completely understand if I get declined, thanks. Capt. Miller · talk 14:20, November 11, 2013 (UTC)
- Declined - I don't feel you've really done anything in the file space that makes you require these rights. Perhaps if you do a little more aside from upload images. 08:38, November 13, 2013 (UTC)
I believe that I'm up to the task to be a custodian. Plus I have plenty of edits. —Unsigned comment was added by Progamer252

I would like to apply for Custodian rights. I have a fair amount of edits in the filespace, and I know the image file rules. With this tool, I could rename badly named images (I had found several of them badly named, and I had to point out some of them due to not having Custodian rights), and license the unlicensed or badly licensed ones. --Ultimate94ninja (talk) 09:56, March 31, 2014 (UTC)
I would like to apply for custodian rights. Currently, I have about 200 filespace edits, and this isn't solely from uploading images. Also, there doesn't appear to be too many active custodians, only about two. Recently, I have seen multiple images that don't have the correct name, such as this one, and many other ones. If I receive these rights, I will be able to rename images, and move different images as well. Also, when I mainly edit, not many admins or custodians are on, so I will be able to delete any bad images, and rename select images when they show. Thanks for considering. Capt. Miller · talk 03:19, April 28, 2014 (UTC)
Good afternoon. I would like to apply for Custodian rights. Currently, I have over 200 filespace edits, and in addition, have been doing a lot of work with categories, and have found unused/unnecessary categories which could be deleted. Lately, I've found several images that are of poor quality and/or of bad naming, which could all be deleted or renamed in some cases. I am active much of the time when other users aren't on, and will be able to watch uploads when others aren't on. Thank you for time and consideration.00:34, May 10, 2014 (UTC)
- I'm just putting something foward, you haven't actually uploaded any images. Although your a good editor, all you have done is added a tone of categories to images and thats all. Capt. Miller · talk 02:13, May 11, 2014 (UTC)
- I can see you there, however, I believe I'll be able to put the tools to good use when it comes to stuff like this. Some things are a bit difficult without them. 02:15, May 11, 2014 (UTC)
- Except when one needs to be moved or deleted, i.e. Stinger images. Also, those images deleted by Vera were on a long time, and I couldn't delete. 02:21, May 11, 2014 (UTC)
I like to apply for Custodian rights because I currently have over 360 in filespace (1K total edits), and these filespace edits include adding categories, adding videos, images and also music files. I regularly monitor filespace and I am experienced of the licensing and stuff, and these tools will benefit me.17:16, October 7, 2014 (UTC)

I would like to apply as a custodian because it'd be easier to maintain the influx of photos we have everyday. That, and the fact that deleting, renaming, categorizing and even copyrighting images is a task that is a bit tedious. And of course, I'm always for that. I also feel that it will benefit me for mass edits and uploads, making work a lot easier. Louis Bancroft (talk) 02:09, October 12, 2014 (UTC)
Hello, i am applying for the Custodian rights for 2 reasons.
The first being from the recommendation from Legos-Rule-15 on my talk.
The second being that I am coming up to/near 600 edits in the filespace, and i often come across bad images, but i can do nothing about them, i also got warned for warning a user without deleting the images, mainly as i couldn't do so (I now know of the rules however).
So in summary, i feel that i could benefit from having the rights, as could the wiki, by making sure images are up to scratch with an active Custodian.09:58, January 21, 2015 (UTC)
Hello, I am applying for the use of the Custodian rights due to a few reasons
Currently we do not have many active ones and generally the task is preformed by a mere few users.
Another user has also recommended me to join the custodians due to my large amount of edits within the filespace as Vulpes Twigy and Inkie Twig. Most of them being personal images that haven't correctly filed or are unused.
Simply put, The addition of Custodian rights to my current user rights will prove useful and beneficial for future edits within the filespace as well as giving some of the other users a lighter work load. 07:18, May 23, 2015 (UTC)

Okay, so it didn't go through the first time. Wikia's not been having a good day today. Anyway, through owning my own medium-sized wiki, I have developed all the necessary skills to become an excellent custodian and if I receive the rights I will only benefit the wiki. I will use the tools to delete all of the inappropriate photos in accordance with wiki policies. On my wiki, this is exactly what I have done dealing with the many photos uploaded, and ensuring that as many as possible are taken down that do not follow our strict (but fair) image policy. This experience will be transferred to here and will ensure that the wiki has one more excellent custodian who only has eyes on aiding the wiki.16:15, October 23, 2015 (UTC)
- PASSED - Well, I'll be honest. A quick look at your contributions show a real lack of file work. That being said, I'm gonna give you the rights in hopes you'll actively contribute to the filespace. KλT 22:08, January 13, 2016 (UTC)
I am applying for this for a couple of very simple reasons.
One; I have already once botched up an upload for an image, uploading it in the wrong manner (jpeg, not png), and had to ask to get it fixed by someone else. In the future, if I make a mistake like this, I would like to simply be able to go in and rid the wiki of it myself.
Two; I have been actively pulling data from Call of Duty: Strike Team, including images, and would like to be able to put these up with an ability to call them back should I accidentally upload an image that already exists.
- Declined - I get your intentions but you currently only have 9 filespace edits overall; 3 of which are within the last 2 months. My advice would be to spend a little bit more time working on Special:Newfiles, and then resubmit this request when you have more filespace edits overall under your belt. KλT 22:35, January 13, 2016 (UTC)
I've chosen to apply to be a custodian mainly because I excel at image and video related work on the wiki, and I would like to help out even further with moving and deleting images and videos on here, as well as the other things custodians do, such as suppressing redirects.18:04, April 5, 2016 (UTC)
- Looks good! Thanks for applying! 04:08, April 25, 2016 (UTC)
Sorry about all that foolery with the deleting pages; I guess I was off the rails a bit. Anyways, just re-submitting to ask if I can have the position back. You've got my promise that I won't delete the pages any longer; I'll just leave the job and let you mods scrub 'em. That, and there's a ton of images that need scrubbing and organizing, as well as the fact that I'm about to have a massive file uploading in the next few days. Cheers. Louis Bancroft (talk) 23:18, August 16, 2016 (UTC)
- I don't see why they were removed in the first place, it's not a big deal. I've re-added your rights. KλT 20:44, September 16, 2016 (UTC)
Since I spend most of my time fixing and cleaning up categories, redirects, pagenames and images, i often accidentally make the image with the wrong naming syntax. An ability to delete the images i accidentally misname would be sufficient to clean up the Image uploading page.
There's also the matter of the images i replace, such as the .jpgs that i replace with .pngs, some images i've switched from jpg to png still remain in the sdelete page and have been there for many weeks now, so just more cleanup purposes without me having to nag an admin
I can assert i won't be going anywhere anytime soon in regards to editing images so given an ability to clean up after myself in the chances i make naming errors or image errors, it would assist in preventing erroneous images from existing in the database, sitting there but never being used.
