Request for Adminship: SXe Fiend |
SXe FiendTalk • Contribs • Edit count
Hello, CoDE here, and I am here to nominate SXe Fiend, one of the most unique editors I have ever met, for administrator. SXe Fiend literally amazes me with his spectacular editing, as well as other users, which is why he was nominated as User of the Month for February. His perfomance in editing and dedication simply matches even the best editors here. Here are many reasons why he should gain sysop rights:
- His amount of edits are 6 times over 1,000.
- His amount of time in this wiki is over a year.
- He has a ton of mainspace edits(excluding blog comments and userpage edits).
- He is active in other wiki communities aswell.
- Our community is growing everyday, so why not another admin.
- A very active user, the last time I checked his userpage he had 3,000 edits, but currently now, he has 6,000 edits.
- He is a custodian, meaning if he has these sysop rights, the more unnecessary images he will clean and delete aswell.
- His dedication in editing is almost unmatched.
- Of course, he knows and follows all the policies here.
- His behavior and conduct is great, whereas he has a clean record of bans given.
He has perfected his current tools, but with the admin tools(if granted), his editing will become more effective. Don't get me wrong I'm jealous of his works here, but I'm forced to write this request because I personally think he needs these rights in order for his great work to be upgraded.

I would like to thank CoDE for nominating and believing that I am ready to become and Admin. Also I would like thank those who showed their support. But I believe that I am not ready to become an Admin. There are certain things that I need to improve on for me to feel like that I am ready for these tools. So I am declining this nomination. Thanks again CoDE.

Strong Support — I give my full support here, this guy is a great editor, and I'm absolutely certain he'd make great use of the admin tools. Leon S. Kennedy AKA Shepard 03:10, April 30, 2012 (UTC)
Strong Support — SXe Fiend is a great editor, he even has a UotM to prove it, so I think he should get this Adminship. MetlTalk 03:27, April 30, 2012 (UTC)

Oppose — I have no doubt that SXe is a great user, but the RfA presented isn't very well written and doesn't really show how he needs the tools at the moment.

Oppose — I am not convinced SXe Fiend needs administrator rights at this time.

Not Yet — The guy is a great editor and everything but I don't think he's ready for Sysop, well at least not yet.

Not Yet — While SXe is an exceptional editor that shows promise, I feel he is not yet ready to receive sysop rights. Smilular Talk 03:15, April 30, 2012 (UTC)

Oppose — While I'm pretty sure SxE would make a great admin, there's just a reason I'm opposing: The format the RfA is written doesn't clearly convinces me that the user is in need of sysop tools at the moment, since some, if not all, of the points given are just a regular over a year user, with some exceptions such as custodian. Every average-good user can fill out most of these points.-Diegox223 Hail the pickaxe!

- What? So you think he'd make a good admin, but you are opposing simply because of the way the RfA is written? I frankly think that, if the user would make a good admin, he should be supported, regardless of how well the RfA is written. Just the way I see it. Leon S. Kennedy AKA Shepard 03:57, April 30, 2012 (UTC)
- The RfA needs to show you on what and why a user needs sysop tools. As I said in my vote, most of the points here can and have been made by the most active users, so it doesn't really show anything beyond on why he (and all the people who have achieved those merits) is (are) good editor(s). If Redskin's or Sam's RfA would've been written poorly or like this, I bet most of the people would've opposed.-Diegox223 Hail the pickaxe!

- Eh, not the way I see it, but I'll leave it alone. I just think that, if the user would make a good admin, he should be granted the tools, regardless of how well was the RfA written. Leon S. Kennedy AKA Shepard 16:41, April 30, 2012 (UTC)

Oppose — I just don't think there is an explicit need for SXe to gain sysop tools.

Oppose — Barely an activity in the War Room shows me that he should be more involved with the community before acquiring these flags. --

Not Yet — While SXe Fiend is a brilliant user, I don't think he's all that ready for adminship nor do I think he needs the tools on what he does now. --

Oppose — I'll have to agree with the others. Rarely do I see SXe Fiend active in forums, and I've only personally spoken to him once. I really don't know what he's like. Joe Copp 10:25, April 30, 2012 (UTC)
Oppose — He's a good editor and all, but i don't really think he's fit for an admin
