The rollback extension allows a user to revert all of the edits by one user on a page, to the last edit by a different user. This feature should only be used in reverting edits that are clearly vandalism, and any possibly good faith edits should be reverted with the undo button. This is done so that the user reverting can explain why they are reverting the edit, for the benefit of both the original editor and any other users looking through the article's history, using rollback suggests that the user vandalised, hence no edit summary is needed.
A request can simply be filled out below. Asking for rollback can be done by anyone, however only users who have shown they are competent on the wiki will get the tools. Although it may take a while, a bureaucrat will visit the page and give out the tool.
The below is an ideal approach to asking for the tools:
Hi, I'm Ffums, I have lots of mainspace edits, do lots of anti-vandalism and think I could do much more with these tools. Ffums 13:37, May 34, 2183 (UTC)
Place all requests HERE.
I'm placing this request from RB rights because it feels like most of the stuff i do here is counter-vandalism, and a lot of it seems to be done in multiple edits...and as such, i feel like i could do with having the rights to make the work easier, Thanks.00:05, December 3, 2014 (UTC)
- Passed - I don't see why not. Just keep in mind that the tools are specifically for undoing vandalism. Only use it when necessary. KλT 00:15, December 3, 2014 (UTC)
Hi there, I would like to apply for rollback rights to help my anti-vandalism work. I am active here, I often undo vandalism, I often watch Special:Recentchanges to spot vandalism, and sometimes there was vandalism caused by multiple edits that would have required rollback to be quickly reverted instead of having to manually undo the edit through the page history. Thanks. 08:45, December 31, 2014 (UTC)
- Passed - Keep in mind to only use the tools for vandalism specifically. KλT 09:38, February 27, 2015 (UTC)
I'd like to receive Rollback in order to help me with anti-vandalism work. I am very active on this Wiki, and love to make this place better, especially with cleaning up malicious edits. I know for certain that I'd be able to be much more effective at anti-vandal work if I receive Rollback Rights. I have a lot of mainspace edits on this wiki. Specifically, I want the Rollback Rights to be able to undo the edits of vandals that make multiple small edits to prevent me from undoing all of them. Didikins (talk) 03:27, February 18, 2015 (UTC)
- Denied - A quick peruse through your contributions hasn't convinced me that you're ready for the rights. Try to get some more counter-vandalism work under your belt and try again in a month or so. KλT 09:38, February 27, 2015 (UTC)
Having prior anti vandalism work on my old account as well as becoming somewhat active in editing again and keeping an eye on the Recent Changes for any edit with malicious intent. Having said rights will allow quicker anti vandal work on easy to spot vandalism and helps with mutli-edit vandals. 21:45, May 6, 2015 (UTC)
- Passed - Sounds good to me. KλT 17:26, June 21, 2015 (UTC)
Requesting to allow extra tools for anti-vandalism work, such as the occurence of http://callofduty.wikia.com/index.php?title=Shadows_of_Evil&diff=2378269&oldid=2376274 which i am unable to revert due to the absence of a rollback ability.
Similar to myself being a Custodian, it's for helping clean up the wiki of vandals or invalidity.

I'm requesting for more abilities to combat vandalism. I nearly always active and always monitor the wiki and others. These recent months have been extremely active for vandalisms and other "weird" things. Heck, I've probably seen more vandalism recently than what it was when I joined three years ago. If there isn't enough people to combat this mess, then we'll lose track of things, like when someone found vandalism from a while ago.1:10, April 6, 2017 (UTC)
