This tottally disregards the discussion on signature requirements and destroys moving signatures. Personal Poketape 8-bit Price Emblem flippedPoketape Talk8-bit Price Emblem MW2 22:04, May 24, 2010 (UTC)

Restrictions, not requirements; no one is required to have images, or animated images, in signatures. The consensus was 30px being the maximum for the height of images. If all animated images are to be an exception to this rule, then the policy's purpose has been defeated. Click for a list of other admins Bovell Talk | Contrib. 22:16, May 24, 2010 (UTC)
I believe it could also be requirements. It's required that your signature has a height less than 30px. Microbullet Talk 09:34, July 8, 2010 (UTC)

2 cents[]

Seeing as signatures on wikis are supposed to be more of a formality and record-keeping device than anything, why not limit the image size to 19px tall? That would prevent line-disruption. 19px has been the standard on several wikis that I've edited on in the past for that reason, and I couldn't really imagine needing anything larger. ··· Danny Drops Bombs 'times new roman';" _rte_style="color:#666666;font:100 8pt 'times new roman';" _rte_attribs=" style=?color:#666666;font:100 8pt 'times new roman';?"> 26 June 2010 (UTC)

There was massive opposition to even introducing a signature restriction. I chose 30px to be a compromise between practical signatures and the MW2 icons being used by many users. I'm all in favour of keeping to a 19px maximum size. Unfortunately, many users regard signatures as a statement of individuality rather than formalities. --Scottie theNerd 10:27, July 8, 2010 (UTC)

Abbreviations[]

Are we allowed to use abbreviations? I want to change my sig to say, "BBP09", which is the initials i made for my name. Bumblebeeprime09 (Talk) 04:40, July 17, 2010 (UTC)

I don't think we are. It has to clearly state your whole username. Cpl. Dunn(Talk) 04:41, July 17, 2010 (UTC)

Abbreviations are fine. --Scottie theNerd 04:44, July 17, 2010 (UTC)

Number[]

What about if I cut out the number? For example, my username is Shotrocket6, but my sig is --> Lieutenant Shotrocket 22:01, July 17, 2010 (UTC)

It doesn't matter as long as the name/username is clear. --Scottie theNerd 00:50, July 18, 2010 (UTC)

Lying in signatures[]

I saw that TheManOfIron made button that logs out user and named it "Talk". Is it allowed? Or TMOI should be warned? >SiPlus -talk -contributions_ 06:50, July 28, 2010 (UTC)

One of the admins already warned him. --Scottie theNerd 07:44, July 28, 2010 (UTC)
