Calling Cards are the equivalent of Playercard Backgrounds that appear in Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Call of Duty: Black Ops III, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. Unlike in Call of Duty: Black Ops where the backgrounds needed to be purchased with CODPoints, calling cards are earned by completing challenges in a similar style to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

There are a total of 323 calling cards in Call of Duty: Black Ops II. In Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, if the player bought the Atlas Limited Edition, they also get the exclusive ATLAS Calling Card. They are used in multiplayer in both games, as well as in Exo Survival in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. In Call of Duty: Black Ops III and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, there are unlockable calling cards in each game mode, and each can be used in every game mode.
