Carrion is the musical Easter Egg for the zombie map TranZit. It was produced entirely by Treyarch's music department. It was written and performed primarily by Kevin Sherwood and sung by Clark S. Nova. The lyrics to this song feature lots of references to Kevin Sherwood's previous work like the songs Abracadavre, Lullaby For A Dead Man, The One, Undone, 115, Coming Home, and Damned.

It was later re-released on the Mob of the Dead Soundtrack as the twenty-fifth track.

The song can also be played at the main menu or in the Safe House using the Music Player in Call of Duty: Black Ops III.

Locations[]

To activate the song, one must activate three teddy bears scattered around the map.

  • 1. The Bus Depot - On the bench closest to the fog heading to the Diner.
  • 2. The Farm - In the farm house, upstairs on a mattress.
  • 3. The Town - In the bar in a booth to the left of Stamin-Up.

Lyrics[]

Like a dream when I'm falling and calling out
My resistance is silent
I can feel but I still can't control myself
please forgive me
Now (x2)
Shadow nothing
All I am
Stalking killing
All I can
I was spawned from eternal night
By infernal rite
and I need your carrion
Neurons fire when I violate
pupils dilate
and I feel your carrion
I could scream but I know I won't hear myself
I'm a slave to synapses
In my dream is the sound of a lullaby
calling me the
one
I'm undone
and they'll all run from
the chosen one 1 5
vermin martyr
just as planned
asking
why must I be damned
I was spawned from eternal night
By infernal rite
and I need your carrion
Neurons fire when I violate
pupils dilate
and I feel your carrion
I bring doom and defile light
your entire life
will now cease to carry on
I've returned and I'm not alone
never to atone
and forever carry
on
and on
until everyone is gone
hear their begging
and their pleading
and their crying
see them bleeding
and they run
and run
til' they cannot carry on
carry on
carrion
carry on
Carrion (x6)
And I need your carrion
carrion (x2)
And I feel your carrion
carrion (x2)
And I need your carrion
carrion (x2)
And I feel your carrion
carrion (x2)
I was spawned from eternal night
By infernal rite
and I need your carrion
Neurons fire when I violate
pupils dilate
and I feel your carrion
I bring doom and defile light
your entire life
will now cease to carry on
I've returned and I'm not alone
never to atone
and forever carry

Trivia[]

  • Carrion means dead or rotten flesh, from the Latin root "Carn" meaning "meat".
  • In the official lyric video, the number 115 appears at 1:15.
  • The line "Shadow nothing" is a reference to the two riddles in the previous Easter Egg song Abracadvre, as the answers to the riddles are "your shadow" and "nothing".
