The Centrifuge is featured in the starting room in Ascension. It is both beneficial and hazardous to the player as it kills zombies instantly, but can down the player if they stand within its range while it is spinning, but can be dodged if the player crouches or goes prone. With Juggernog, the player can sustain two hits by the Centrifuge before it kills them. The Centrifuge can start spinning as soon as round one, and it activates randomly without the player's help or power needed. As it is about to activate, a buzzer alarm is heard (vocal alarm is also heard the first time it activates) and red lights in the room flash.
