"Double barrel bolt-action sniper rifle. Shoots twice before re-chambering. Hold Left Stick/L3/Shift while ADS to steady."
— Description

The DBSR-50 is a double-barreled bolt action sniper rifle featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops III that was added in the July 28, 2016 update. It has a magazine capacity of six rounds, and is able to fire twice before needing to rechamber, in a similar manner to the M1216. The two shots can be fired quite rapidly, although the bolt cycle is slower than that of Locus and SVG-100. The DBSR-50 can kill in one shot to the arms and upper torso, giving DBSR-50 a middle-of-the-road feel between a regular bolt-action and semi-automatic sniper rifle. The chest ranged one-shot makes the DBSR-50 a very consistent choice for sniping, and rewards players that can consistently hit enemies in the upper body region.

Uniquely, the DBSR is equipped with iron sights by default, rather than a scope. Optics are unlocked by leveling the weapon up, and include the Reflex Sight and BOA 3, unique among the sniper rifles. Due to Ballistics CPU being only compatible with the default scope, which DBSR-50 lacks, it is not available on this weapon. However, the weapon's idle sway is very low by default.

Due to the frequent and relatively long reloads, Fast Mags is a very effective attachment. Suppressor is also a good fit, as it does not incur any negative bonuses while keeping the player more silent and off the radar when firing, much like the other sniper rifles.
