The Demonic Announcer is a character in Call of Duty: World at War, Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops II. It is unknown if the Demonic Announcer is Samantha Maxis in all appearances after Verrückt and prior to the end of Moon's "Richtofen's Grand Scheme" Easter Egg, where it became Richtofen due to him switching places with Samantha Maxis. On Moon, after the end of Richtofen's Grand Scheme, it is Edward Richtofen. The Demonic Announcer is heard on every Zombies map except for Dead Ops Arcade and the Call of Duty: World at War version of Nacht der Untoten. Its voice seems to shift through different tones and deepness throughout the game mode.
In Mob of the Dead, the Demonic Announcer is neither Samantha nor Edward.
