The Digital Camouflage is a pattern of a weapon camouflage skin that appears in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare[]

"Black and white marpat camouflage finish."
— Camouflage description

In Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Digital Camouflage is available after achieving 25 headshots with a specific weapon, and can only be used during online multiplayer. This camouflage works by effectively breaking up the outline of the weapon and making the weapon harder to see on almost all surfaces. For example, using the digital camouflage on an M40A3 makes it less noticeable by breaking up its large, solid-green body.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2[]

The camouflage returns to Modern Warfare 2, after earning 15 headshots with any Primary Weapon. It is also seen in Singleplayer. In Loose Ends the player starts with an ACR Grenadier Holographic with Digital Camouflage. In S.S.D.D. one can find an ACR Holographic with digital camouflage, in the last weapons crate Cpl. Dunn opens up before running The Pit. After running The Pit at least once, it is possible to find a UMP45 Holographic with digital camouflage on the table beside the weapon crates. Various weapons throughout the campaign can be found with this camouflage pattern.

This weapon camouflage can be commonly found on Spetsnaz weaponry on the single player levels Wolverines!, Exodus, Of Their Own Accord, Second Sun, Loose Ends, The Enemy of My Enemy and Museum on the AK-47, TAR-21, UMP45, and RPD. Players can also find digital camouflaged weapons being carried by Shadow Company on the levels The Enemy of My Enemy, Just Like Old Times and the Museum on ACRs and UMP45s. The camouflage, in comparison to the version in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, appears to have a slightly darker hue, but largely appears the same in both games.

When a player achieves level 30, the player acquires a title saying 1st Sgt. with the Digital Camouflage background. The Digital Camouflage helps the player blend in an urban environment more than the Urban Camouflage.

The Digital Camouflage pattern appears differently on the TAR-21 with an extra color visible - a distinct black color as opposed to the usual dark green, light green, and beige.

The pattern is featured prominently in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 as it is the camouflage utilized by The U.S. Army Rangers and some members of Task Force 141, who also wore similar camouflaged gear.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered[]

Digital Camouflage[1] returns in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, unlocked after achieving 25 headshots with a certain weapon. It now also appears on pistols, unlike its original counterparts, taking only 5 headshots to achieve.
