The Dragon Egg is a quest item in Call of Duty: Black Ops III on the zombies map Gorod Krovi. It is required in order to obtain the Gauntlet of Siegfried. It is found in the Hatchery above the sewer entrance.
In order to obtain it, the player must shoot it with any gun to make it fall down and become available for retrieval. After acquiring the Dragon egg, the player must bathe it in fire, teach it (by killing napalm zombies, getting penetrating multikills and melee kills) and incubate it. In order to bathe it in fire, the player must place the egg on one of the nests found around the map and wait for a Dragon to breath fire upon the area and after a full round, the egg will have cooled down. Then, the player must teach it by completing the trials mentioned above and finally, the player must incubate it. The incubator is found in the Hatchery near the Sewer Exit, right next to the generator. Placing the egg in the incubator will activate a lockdown with Zombies and Valkyrie Drones. However, when killing zombies, the incubator acts much like the Groph Pod and zaps zombies upon their death. When the lockdown is complete, the egg has to cool down once more. After two rounds have passed, the player can get the egg back and then wield the Gauntlet of Siegfried.
- When picking up the egg after the incubation is complete, it rewards the player with 5000 XP.
