"Feed Mein Dragon! FEED!"
— Richtofen when using the dragon strike.

The Dragon Strike is a Wonder Weapon that appears in the Call of Duty: Black Ops III Zombies map Gorod Krovi. The weapon works similarly to the G-Strike as it can be used to mark a certain location for the Dragons to fire at, whilst luring the Zombies into the location of attack.

Obtaining the Dragon Strike

In order to obtain the Dragon Strike, the player must go to the Hatchery. Once there, the player must activate a lockdown event via interacting with the crystal on the second floor. In co-op, all players must interact with the crystal to start the lockdown. After surviving all four rounds of lockdown in which Zombies, Russian Manglers, and Valkyrie Drones will appear, at first one window at a time, then all windows at once, the player can collect the dragon strike by interacting with the crystal again.

Draconite Controller

To upgrade the Dragon Strike into the Draconite Controller, the player needs to kill around 40 zombies with the weapon; a loud dragon roar will be heard when this is done. After this, the player must mark a number of Iron Cross flags that will appear around the map (the number of flags depends on the number of players, e.g.: one player, one flag, etc).

The places where they can appear are:

  • In front of the Supply Depot hangar near a destroyed house near the river.
  • In front of the Dragon Command hangar near the furthest wall
  • Behind the right hanging tank in the Tank Factory
  • Inside one of the buildings outside Belinski Square in which the flag can be seen from a hole in the side facing Quick Revive.

Once this is done, the player must go back to the Hatchery where the lockdown event will be available to be done again. The player must interact with it and go through the lockdown event again but they must use the Dragon Strike during it for the event to end at the end of the round. Once this is done, the player must go upstairs to the crystal, where they can obtain the upgraded weapon.

The Draconite Controller does more damage and has a larger radius than its normal counterpart and the fire that the dragons shoot will be red instead of green. It can also be called twice (but can't be used simultaneously, one has to end for the other to be used).

Achievement/Trophy
