The FN EGLM is an underbarrel grenade launcher featured in Call of Duty: Ghosts and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. It replaces the M203 and M320 from the previous titles in the Call of Duty series. It was cut from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

Call of Duty 4: Modern WarfareEdit

ARCut The subject matter of this article was cut from the final version of a Call of Duty game.

The FN EGLM was originally supposed to appear in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, as confirmed by localization strings in the game files. It is unknown to which weapon(s) it was going to be attached.

The FN EGLM only appears in two missions: in "All or Nothing", where it can be found attached to some SC-2010s, and in "Loki", where it is mounted on all the ARX-160s in the space orbit, including the player's starting one. The launcher still has to be switched to like in previous games, unlike its multiplayer counterpart.

The FN EGLM also appears in mutliplayer, where it can be mounted on all compatible assault rifles and light machine guns. Unlike the campaign, it removes the player's Lethal slot in multiplayer and enables the user to quick fire the attachment without first switching by pressing the Lethal equipment button.

Its usefulness is debatable: it replaces the Lethal equipment slot and uses up one of the weapon's attachment slots, so unless the player does very good with it, enjoys using it, or can make more use of its ability to explode on contact than any of the Lethals' uses, it may be better to pass it up. If the player does choose to use it, it is good to keep it for use against large groups of enemies, or to use it against heavily-armored pointstreaks rather than using it to kill just one enemy.

Call of Duty: Infinite WarfareEdit

The FN EGLM returns in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, where it is solely integrated to the OSA classic assault rifle.

Call of Duty: GhostsEdit

  • When mounted on the Chain SAW, the FN EGLM is reloaded off-screen.
