O Cristo Redentor is the third Special Ops level in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in the Alpha group of operations. The objective is to kill all enemies without harming too many civilians.

Overview

The mission takes place at the starting area of the slums in Takedown. The enemies are scattered throughout the slums, inside the houses as well as on the roofs. The player should move about carefully to avoid getting ambushed and gunned down. On Hardened and Veteran difficulties, a pair of attack dogs spawn every ten human enemies the player kills, distinctive by their barking.

On Regular, the player has to kill 30 enemies and can kill up to six civilians. On Hardened, the player has to kill 40 enemies and can kill up to four civilians. On Veteran, the player has to kill 50 enemies and can kill up to three civilians.

There are some ammo crates throughout the area, allowing the player to refill their current weapons. At the opening area there is a AA-12 shotgun with Heartbeat Sensor on the destroyed techical on the left which is very useful in this level as enemies often flank around the player.

• "O Cristo Redentor" is Portuguese for Christ the Redeemer, the name of the large statue of Jesus in Rio De Janeiro, where this mission is set. The statue can be seen in other maps located in Rio de Janeiro as well.
