For the earlier models, see BTR-40 and BTR-60.

The BTR-80 is a Soviet eight-wheeled Armored Personnel Carrier and Infantry Fighting Vehicle that appears in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Mobilized, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2[]

In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the player fights against them in "Wolverines!", "Of Their Own Accord", "Contingency", "The Enemy of My Enemy", and in Special Ops missions Body Count and Homeland Security. The BTR-80A can not be damaged by bullets, fragmentation grenades, or grenade launchers. RPG-7s, Predator Missiles, AT4s, FGM-148 Javelins and Semtex grenades can, however, destroy them. If a player attempts to damage this vehicle with the GP-25 or the M203, the message saying "Frag grenades cannot damage this vehicle" will appear.

In a Special Ops mission such as Body Count, destroying a BTR will count as a "Mega-Kill" and reward 400-8000 points depending on the means the player used to destroyed it.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3[]

The BTR-80A makes its return in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. They are common throughout the campaign and are seen in almost every level featuring the Russian military.

Call of Duty: Ghosts[]

Multiple BTR-80As are seen in No Man's Land, where the player has to sneak past them. Later, a BTR-80A appears briefly in Clockwork.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019)[]

A BTR-80 appears in Embedded, firing at the player after the backpack explosion just beforehand.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War[]

In Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, multiple BTR-80s were seen at the level Redlight, Greenlight. It is operated by the armored units of the Soviet Army.

  • The BTR-80A has a Romanian flag on the rear of the vehicle.
  • The symbol on the side of the BTR-80A resembles the Linkin Park logo.
