The Interactive Wrist Mounted Display (I.W.M.D.)[1] commonly known as the Data Glove Paired, is a wrist mounted device used to designate targets for player-allied machinery. The device is also used for hacking, communication, facial scanning, and recording audio from a long distance in the campaign. It is also used to call in Scorestreak rewards in the multiplayer mode of Call of Duty: Black Ops IICall of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Call of Duty: Black Ops III. It also makes a brief appearance in Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II[]

Campaign[]

In the campaign, the Data Glove Paired is the source from which XM31 Grenades are fired. In the mission "Celerium", Section uses the Data Glove Paired to hack the MQ Drone's Minigun. The player can access the Optical Camo and turn it on or off with the Data Glove Paired. The player uses the Data Glove Paired to hack the J-5 ASD.

The Data Glove Paired is also used in the mission "Fallen Angel". Section uses it to communicate with Admiral Briggs. After Section and Mike Harper get their CLAW, Maximus, to function, it mows down the enemies suppressing them. Section can then designate targets for the CLAWs as they move out of the flooded structure and onto the street. Later in the mission, Section and Harper use the grapple function of the glove to get to a rooftop vantage point. It is then used to identify Raul Menendez and record his conversation, all with a retractable data panel.

It is then used again in the mission "Achilles' Veil" and "Cordis Die". Section uses the Data Glove Paired to designate targets for Dragonfires to attack enemy Mercs.

Farid also has a Data Glove Paired, which he uses if accessing the Optical Camo.

Both Section and Harper (if alive) will check their Data Glove Paired in the mission "Cordis Die".

The Data Glove Paired is last used in the mission "Judgement Day", where Section uses it to hack Quadrotors and target them onto enemies. It is also used to target the Kinetic Strike Weapon.

Multiplayer[]

All players have a Data Glove Paired on their arm. It can be used to call in Scorestreaks such as: UAVs, Counter UAVs, Orbital VSATs, EMP Systems, Escort Drones, Warthogs, K9 Units, and Swarms.

Call of Duty: Ghosts[]

The Data Glove Paired is seen in Call of Duty: Ghosts on the multiplayer uniforms "PMC Elite Assault" and "PMC Elite Operator". The Data Glove Paired is usable in the game.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare[]

The Data Glove Paired reappears in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, serving the same purpose and abilities as the Black Ops II variant; however being much thinner, larger, and more curved than the bulky Black Ops II variant.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III[]

The Data Glove Paired returns in Black Ops III. The Data Glove Paired is never seen used, but is placed on the wrist of soldiers, such as the Egyptian Army. Zeyad Khalil wears one, as well as The Player in their Arms Dealer Body Outfit in "Provocation".
