Overview[]

"When the world itself burns, you have truly angered the spirits!"
— Takeo, upon using the Fire Bow

The Kreeaho'ahm nal Ahmhogaroc (Fall from Banishment), also known as Rune Prison and commonly referred to in the community as the Fire Bow, is one of four upgraded Bows on Der Eisendrache. It functions very similarly to its original counterpart, having both a single shot and a charged shot. The single shot will spawn a small burst of lava, which will deal damage and burn zombies over time. The charged shot will trap any zombies within the blast radius in volcanic mounds. After a couple seconds, the mounds will erupt and kill the trapped zombies. Zombies that are not trapped can also be killed if coming close enough to the mounds while they are erupting. The charged shot can also trap a Panzersoldat in a mound, making it incapable of attacking for about 5 seconds. Additionally, unlike all of the other upgraded Bows, every zombie killed by the charged shot from this Bow will reward 60 Points instead of 50.

How to Obtain[]

"The fire is lit, transformation begins!"
— Takeo, upon finishing the the fireplace step.
  1. Head up the spiral staircase inside the Clock Tower (Radio Room) connected to the Upper Courtyard. At the top, the player will see a glowing red symbol on the wall. Shooting at it with the Wrath of the Ancients will expose the inner clockwork of the big clock, and drop the broken pieces for the arrow in a single pile. Collect it to begin.
  2. Travel to the Rocket Platform via the Undercroft Teleporter or Bastion Wundersphere (the latter only if the Rocket Platform has been visited once as to activate the Landing Pad). On the player's right when passing through the giant blast doors towards the rocket, they will see a small building with the VMP wallbuy with a dark rock on top of it. The player now needs to wait for a Rocket Test to happen, which occurs roughly every 5 to 7 minutes on average. When it has ended, they need to rush outside and shoot at the rock, which will now be glowing orange of heat for a short time. If done correctly, a massive fireball will shoot from the sky towards the main part of the map. It is advised to stand as close of the doors as possible during the test, as the time allowed is quite short.
    • This can be rather tricky, and take several attempts. From the center of the Rocket Platform doors opening, walk straight ahead, and stop once fully crossing the tracks perpendicular to the ones leading out from the giant blast doors (do not stand directly on them, move past them and stop). Turn right 90 degrees to face the rock above the VMP wallbuy, and shoot dead center of the radiating red-orange light visible in the upper left part of the rock formation from this position.
    • It is not reasonably possible to get the Ragnarok DG-4 piece from pressing the button next to the teleporter while waiting inside after pulling the switch behind the Rocket. Another Rocket Test or a second player will be needed to obtain it.
    • In co-op, after the first Rocket Test has gone off by initially visiting the Rocket Platform to begin the test cycles, players can set off the Rocket Test much more often, depending on the interval of Anti-Gravity in the Undercroft. When active, a player needs to wall run over the panel under and to the left of the giant hole high up on the wall used for obtaining the Wolf Howl. Instead of the typical stone shifting sound, it will make the sound as if purchasing a door, and for the first time this is done in a game, a Death Machine powerup will spawn in the air above the workbench near the Pyramid. However, subsequent Anti-Gravity periods when running over this same panel (when it is lit up again) will set off the Rocket Test immediately if more attempts are needed for the player at the Rocket Platform to practice/complete this step.
  3. The player will now need to shoot 3 rings with their Wrath of the Ancients to set them on fire, and this must be done while traveling midair via Wundersphere. Upon a successful shot, the player will hear an additional noise akin to a distant demonic wail, and the ring will remain on fire even when back on the ground. As this method of travel happens quite fast, this will take practice, and costs 500 Points each time the Wundersphere is taken.
    • Generally, it is advised to hold a charged shot as one purchases the Wundersphere, as uncharged shots do not travel as far or as fast.
    • The player will retain their angle from the moment they were launched. Take advantage of this to ensure one is looking in the correct direction with a rough idea of when to fire in mind.
    • The arrow must hit the ring while the player is still in the air. Even with a perfectly accurate shot, if fired too late, the ring will not light on fire.
    • The locations of the rings to set on fire are as follows:
      1. The first ring is situated next to spawn, between the KRM-262 wallbuy and Double Tap 2.0.
        • Taking the Wundersphere from either the Bastion or Rocket Platform is recommended.
      2. The second one is on the Bastion, just between the Death Ray and the Wundersphere next to it.
        • Taking the Wundersphere in the Upper Courtyard near the Kuda wall buy is recommended.
      3. The third one is outside the Clock Tower (Radio Room) on the way to the Bastion.
        • Taking the Wundersphere in the Lower Courtyard above Double Tap is recommended.
  4. The player will have to stand in each of the now lit fire rings, and kill zombies with any weapon, turning them into orange orbs absorbed by the ring. It is imperative that the player stays within the ring when killing so that the edges of the screen are tinted orange, otherwise the kills will not count. When a ring complete, it will emit a pyroclastic pillar siphoning back to a giant sun-like fireball floating above the Bastion.
    • Zombies do not have to be inside the ring, only the player.
    • Players can step out of the ring and resume anytime if needed.
  5. Head back to the Clock Tower (Radio Room) where the broken arrow pieces were initially obtained at the top of the staircase. Hold the action button next to the exposed clockwork, and a cuneiform symbol will appear. The symbol will light up, and is representative of one of three fireplaces, spread throughout the map.
    • An arrowhead pointing to the right above two small triangles pierced by a line also aimed to the right, with two small dots on the left and the right sides: fireplace underneath the Dragon Head Statue in the control room, near Speed Cola. For this fireplace, the corresponding ring is on the Bastion, just between the Death Ray and the Wundersphere next to it.
    • Cross symbol with two dots on the left and right sides: fireplace in Samantha's room. The corresponding ring is situated next to spawn, between the KRM-262 wall buy and Double Tap 2.0.
    • One arrowhead aimed to the right, with two small triangles pierced by a line; two of this symbol one on top and on the bottom of the arrowhead: fireplace in the Lower Courtyard, up the stairs and across from the Dragon Head Statue (Supply Room). The corresponding ring is directly outside the Clock Tower (Radio Room) on the way to the Bastion.
  6. The corresponding ring noted by the symbol from Step 5 will now be the only one still lit on fire, signifying it the starting point for this step. From here, the player will have to shoot their Wrath of the Ancients in such a manner that in 4 shots total or less (a charged shot counts as only 1), they shoot the fireplace while standing near a volcanic mound that is anchored on the ground from the previous shot. Pressing the Interact button on the now lit fireplace causes the pieces of the arrow to float within the fire, completing this step.
    • For the first shot and initially spawning the mound, they will need to stand in the ring and fire it generally as far away from the ring as possible while hitting the ground, with the goal being to get as much distance covered towards the needed fireplace in as few shots as possible.
    • For subsequent shots, the player will have to stand near the mound created from a previous shot as the new anchor point for the next shot (but not necessarily standing directly on it as the player is given some leniency, so as long as the borders of the screen glow orange, the shot will work).
    • A Max Ammo will be rewarded if 3 or less arrows are used.
    • If this step is failed by using too many shots, it can be attempted again on the next round. This does not change the ring nor fireplace.
  7. Next to the Death Ray, the giant sun-like fireball will now be floating closer to the ground. Hold the Interact button underneath it and it will solidify, rise up again and explode, dropping the reforged arrow. Collect it to complete this step.
    • The pickup for this reforged arrow can be uncooperative at times. Stand in the center up against the Death Ray and inch towards the reforged arrow until the Death Ray prompt changes into the reforged arrow pickup text.
  8. Place the reforged arrow in the correct box near the Pyramid in the Undercroft area of the map. The correct box for this Bow is the one with dark glowing volcanic rocks on the sides.
  9. The player must now kill 20 zombies quite close to the box, where their souls will be absorbed. When complete, interact with the box. The box will erupt with power for a few seconds, and the upgraded Bow will be ready to be picked up.
