The Walther WA2000 is a bullpup, semi-automatic sniper rifle featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Call of Duty Online, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. It was cut from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2[]

Campaign & Spec Ops[]

The WA2000 can be found during "Loose Ends" used by Ghillie snipers, or in the weapons cache in the basement of the Estate in "Estate Takedown" with a Thermal Scope equipped. It can also be found on Shadow Company soldiers in "The Enemy of My Enemy." It is displayed in the "Museum" level as well. It is also used by enemy snipers, using normal scopes, wearing ghillie suits in "Hidden". in Estate Takedown, The WA2000 is also effective against Enemy Juggernauts, taking about 3-6 shots to kill one.

Multiplayer[]

The WA2000 is unlocked at level 36 in multiplayer.

The WA2000 will deal 70 damage at any range (98 with Stopping Power), and deals fifty percent more damage on bullets that hit the head, neck, or upper torso. The WA2000 has the same one shot kill area with or without Stopping Power. Stopping Power is only relevant if using the Silencer on the WA2000, in which it will return the WA2000's one shot kill area back to normal. The WA2000 has high penetration power.

The WA2000 fires semi automatically, with an uncapped fire rate. This allows for a maximum rate of fire of 1200 RPM.

The WA2000 has recoil values of 50 to the left and 55 to the right. The WA2000 kicks upwards on every shot with varying intensity, with the upwards recoil value on each shot being either 10 or 65. The WA2000 has a centerspeed value of 825.

The WA2000 allows users to move at up to 100% of the base movement speed, or strafe at 40% of the base movement speed. The WA2000 allows users to aim down the scope in 400 milliseconds, and the WA2000's hip-fire spread is very wide. The WA2000's reload animation is 3.3 seconds long, or 3.9 seconds long on an empty magazine. In either case, the user can Reload Cancel the WA2000 after 2.5 seconds.

The WA2000's magazine capacity is six rounds, and the WA2000 has a starting ammo loadout of 24 rounds.

The WA2000 has the typical sniper rifle attachments available to it. Most attachments work as expected on the WA2000. However, FMJ is an exception, as it does not increase penetration power on the WA2000 when used, effectively making it a useless attachment.

Call of Duty: Black Ops[]

Campaign[]

The WA2000's only appearance is in "Victor Charlie", after detonating the C4. The Commando and WA2000 then replace the player's previous weapons, and both weapons are lost after entering the rat hole. The WA2000 is very powerful, and seems to kill in one shot anywhere to the body. However, on the Wii version, the player is equipped with a Commando and a M1911; the reason for this is unknown.

Multiplayer[]

The WA2000 is a sniper rifle that appears in Call of Duty: Black Ops. It is available for purchase at level 10.

The WA2000 deals seventy damage per bullet by default. The WA2000 gets a fifty percent damage bonus to the upper torso, and the WA2000 deals double damage on a shot to the head or neck. The WA2000 can get a one shot kill to these areas as a result. The WA2000 has high penetration power, allowing it to retain most of its damage when shooting through surfaces. The WA2000 will almost always fail to get a one shot kill to the chest through cover, but it is within the realm of possibility to get a one shot kill to the head or neck when shooting through cover.

The WA2000 fires semi automatically, with a maximum rate of fire of 234 RPM. The user must wait at least 256 milliseconds between shots.

The zoom level on the WA2000's default scope is slightly lower than the sniper rifle default. The WA2000 has recoil values of 50 to the left and 55 to the right. The WA2000 kicks upwards with every shot, with a recoil value of either 10 or 65. The WA2000 has a centerspeed of 825.

The WA2000 allows users to move at 95% of the base movement speed, or strafe at forty percent of the base movement speed. The WA2000 allows users to aim down the sight in 400 milliseconds, and the WA2000's hip-fire spread is very wide. The WA2000's reload animation is 3.2 seconds long, or 3.85 seconds long if the magazine is empty. The user can Reload Cancel the WA2000 after 2.2 seconds.

The WA2000 has a magazine capacity of six rounds, and a starting ammo loadout of 24 rounds.

The WA2000 has the standard assortment of sniper rifle attachments on offer. Two of the WA2000's attachments have unusual effects when used. The ACOG Scope is unique on the WA2000 in that it will lower the aim down sight time down to 300 milliseconds instead of the usual 350 milliseconds that sniper rifles get, allowing the WA2000 to aim faster than other sniper rifles when using the ACOG Scope. When using the Variable Zoom, the intermediate zoom level of the WA2000 is still the same as the default zoom level of the WA2000, meaning that the intermediate zoom level is lower than other sniper rifles' intermediate zoom level when using the same attachment.

Trivia[]

General[]

  • In Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops, beside the fire selector it says .300 Win Mag.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2[]

  • When using a Heartbeat Sensor, it will read "WA2000 Heartbeat".
  • While reloading with a ghillie suit on, the sleeves can be seen through the weapon model.
  • There is a fingerprint visible on the upper left-hand side of the stock. It is the easiest to see with Urban Camouflage, but can be seen with all camouflages.
  • When the default scope is attached when picked up, the player will open the lens cap to reveal the "Mr. Yuk" sticker.
  • The WA2000 has a bipod folded on top of the gun. This is easiest to see from first person view.
  • The fire mode selector is always at the safe position.
  • The player will switch from the WA2000 much faster if it is out of ammo.

Call of Duty: Black Ops[]

  • The pick-up and kill feed icon for the WA2000 is missing the scope.
  • The WA2000 has six rounds stored on the side of the weapon's stock, which will be gold when gold camouflage is added. They have no functional abilities.
  • The WA2000 has a tally mark of seven under the scope.
  • When gold camouflage is equipped, the stock turns synthetic; this does not apply to the Wii, however.
  • The Ice Camouflage has black spots on the WA2000.
  • The WA2000 has a bipod attached in front of the scope.
  • Under the rear portion of the scope, the words "Maxim & Sons Armory" are visible, along with a symbol consisting of a shield and sword, with the initials "M&S."
  • When uncapping the scope, the name "Jackson" can be seen.
  • The Wii version of the weapon has no cap, but the animation still acts like there still is.
  • The early create-a-class icon lacked a scope.
  • When picking up a WA2000, the animation is different and slightly slower for one without any attachments equipped, as opposed to one with an attachment.
