The QBB LSW (or QBB-95, as called in the game files), is a bullpup light machine gun that appears in Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Call of Duty: Strike Team, Call of Duty: Mobile and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II[]

"Fully automatic LMG. Highest rate of fire in class."
— Description

Campaign[]

The QBB LSW is unlocked at the start of the 2025's missions. It can be found in the levels "Celerium", "Fallen Angel", "Karma" and "Judgment Day". It can be found as well in the Strike Force missions "FOB Spectre", "Shipwreck" and "Dispatch".

Multiplayer[]

The QBB LSW is available for unlock when Create-a-Class is unlocked.

The QBB LSW has the worst damage profile of any LMG, but its damage profile is decent overall. At any range short of 18.75 meters, the QBB LSW will deal 35 damage per bullet, needing three shots to kill. Between 18.75 and 50 meters, the QBB LSW will deal 25 damage, needing four shots to kill. The QBB LSW deals twenty damage at any range past 50 meters, needing five shots to kill. The QBB LSW is the only LMG that has no damage bonus on a Headshot, making headshots worthless on the weapon. Not only does the QBB LSW have a poor three shot kill range compared to other LMGs - every other LMG has at least double the three shot kill range of the QBB LSW - but it is also the only LMG that can realistically get five shot kills, whereas the other LMGs either never need more than four shots to kill or have four shot kill ranges which are long enough that a five shot kill is exceedingly unlikely. The QBB LSW's lower damage per bullet on its three and four shot kills also makes it tougher for it to perform well when shooting through walls. The QBB LSW has high penetration power, but the lower damage figures makes it far more likely for the QBB LSW to need extra shots to kill when shooting through walls.

The QBB LSW's rate of fire is its main strength compared to other LMGs. It fires at a constant 937 RPM. The HAMR can fire at 937 RPM, but it only does that for the first seven bullets in a burst before reducing significantly down to 625 RPM. This gives the QBB LSW excellent killing speed at medium range, and makes up for the lacking damage somewhat at longer ranges. Within the QBB LSW's three shot kill range, it is an extremely effective weapon.

The QBB LSW is a mixed bag in terms of accuracy. The iron sights are of an unusual design, but are usable enough. The QBB LSW has soft recoil per shot. The QBB LSW has recoil values of 45 to the left, 45 to the right, 50 upwards, and 35 downwards. The QBB LSW has the lowest vertical recoil per shot of all the LMGs while having moderately soft horizontal recoil. The QBB LSW also has a good centerspeed of 1675. The QBB LSW's recoil profile is good on paper, but in practice, the 937 RPM will make recoil more pronounced. The QBB LSW gains 10% extra centerspeed when firing from a crouched position, and 20% extra centerspeed when firing in a prone position, making firing from those positions much more accurate.

The QBB LSW has good handling characteristics for an LMG, but bad handling overall. The QBB LSW restricts users to 90% of the base movement speed, or a strafe speed of just 32%. The QBB LSW takes 450 milliseconds to aim down the sights, and the hip-fire spread is large. Despite the wide hip-fire accuracy, the QBB LSW can be deadly at close range due to its combination of a high fire rate and a three shot kill. The QBB LSW's reload speeds are great for an LMG. The QBB LSW's reload animation is 3.75 seconds long, or 4.6 seconds long on an empty drum. In either case, the user can Reload Cancel after 2.45 seconds. The QBB LSW has the fastest reloads in its class, slightly edging out the HAMR in this regard. The QBB LSW makes reloading relatively painless compared to other LMGs.

The QBB LSW is tied with the HAMR for the lowest shot capacity, holding 75 rounds per drum magazine. The QBB LSW as a result gets a smaller starting ammo loadout of 225 rounds. This starting ammo loadout is still far larger than many other weapons, but the QBB LSW's inherent properties make it chew through that ammo quickly compared to other stronger, slower-firing LMGs.

The QBB LSW has the standard assortment of attachments on offer. The optical attachments are available for those who want a longer-ranged sight option or those who dislike the iron sights. The iron sights are good enough and the QBB LSW isn't suited for longer ranged combat anyway, so a lot of the sight attachments aren't the best of choices on the QBB LSW.

The Foregrip increases the QBB LSW's centerspeed by 2%. The boost is too small to make a discernible difference. If the user needs more centerspeed, crouching or going prone is a far more effective way to increase centerspeed than using the Foregrip.

FMJ increases the QBB LSW's penetration power even further and increases damage dealt to scorestreaks. The QBB LSW is the worst LMG for shooting through walls due to its lower damage, so FMJ is less sensible on the QBB LSW than it is on other LMGs. However, the effect of extra damage dealt to scorestreaks can be handy to make the QBB LSW more effective as an anti-scorestreak tool, especially considering its vast pool of ammo.

The Quickdraw Handle speeds up the aim down sight time from 450 milliseconds to 337 milliseconds. This makes the QBB LSW aim much faster. The QBB LSW is among the best LMGs for more aggressive and mobile usage, so the Quickdraw Handle is a much more interesting attachment on the QBB LSW compared to slower-firing LMGs.

The Adjustable Stock allows the user to strafe at 72% of the base movement speed. This allows the user to move significantly faster while keeping the sights raised, allowing for easy repositioning while keeping the sights readied up. The attachment is a great fit on the QBB LSW's more aggressive style, in addition to helping reduce the number of times the user lowers the sights and has to endure the aim down sight function again.

The Laser Sight is perhaps the most powerful attachment on the QBB LSW, making the hip-fire spread a whopping 45% tighter. This makes the QBB LSW monumentally more consistent from the hip. The QBB LSW has enormous potential at close range from the hip, and the Laser Sight helps the user realize that potential far more often. It makes a secondary weapon far less of a need since the user can use the QBB LSW at close range with the Laser Sight to gun down enemies, something that other LMGs cannot do as consistently. It should be noted that the placement of the Laser Sight emitting module will partly block the front sight.

The Suppressor reduces muzzle flash, makes the QBB LSW quieter when firing, and prevents the QBB LSW from revealing the user on radar, at the expense of the three and four shot kill ranges being made 30% shorter. The QBB LSW is far more starved for range than the other LMGs, but it also has a fast fire rate to make up for needing an extra shot to kill in certain instances. It is an attachment with relevant risks and rewards.

Extended Clip increases the QBB LSW's drum capacity to 100 rounds and boosts the starting ammo loadout to 300 rounds, but makes reloads 10% slower. The attachment is at its best on the QBB LSW compared to other LMGs, as the QBB LSW chews through its ammo surprisingly quickly compared to other LMGs, and it has a fast enough reload speed that the slower reload isn't felt too much, whereas Extended Clip can add 400-500 milliseconds of reload time on the belt-fed LMGs. However, the QBB LSW has plenty of sustained fire capability and ammo to begin with, leading some to find the attachment to be unnecessary.

Rapid Fire increases the QBB LSW's rate of fire to 1250 RPM, but it reduces the QBB LSW's performance in several ways. First, the QBB LSW's three and four shot kill ranges are made 40% shorter. The hip-fire spread is made 20% wider, making hip-fire even less consistent. Finally, the QBB LSW's base centerspeed is reduced from 1675 to 1423. The combination of the elevated fire rate and drastically reduced centerspeed make the QBB LSW monumentally less accurate. Even with low recoil per shot, the QBB LSW's recoil will accumulate extremely quickly, and the centerspeed will be incapable of counteracting it in a timely manner. The attachment has too many severe penalties to be a consistently good option.

Overall, the QBB LSW is the least versatile LMG among them. It struggles much more at medium-long ranges and beyond compared to its peers, instead opting for medium range dominance. The QBB LSW's sweltering fire rate makes the QBB LSW a force at medium range and oddly competent at close range in spite of its LMG-grade handling, with the QBB LSW having some of the fastest potential killing speed of any fully automatic weapon in Black Ops 2 multiplayer. Its faster reloads and capability of doing work at close range makes it play more like a heavy assault rifle than a true LMG. The QBB LSW's ability to get a three shot kill at 937 RPM is very powerful and gives the user a fighting chance against more consistent, slicker-handling weapons up close on account of the QBB LSW's brute power. The QBB LSW's relative strength at shorter ranges and much shorter three shot kill range makes it an LMG that is ideally used in a more aggressive manner, with the user trying to stick to medium ranges to get as many three shot kills as they can. In a traditional LMG role, the QBB LSW will prove frustratingly inconsistent on account of its lower medium-long range damage and the increased number of times the user needs to limit their fire. Sticking to medium range engagements with the QBB LSW will not only allow more three shot kills, but more chances to fully abuse the QBB LSW's great fire rate to full effect.

Call of Duty: Strike Team[]

The QBB LSW is automatically given to Xiao during the mission "Multilateral Operation" to assist the J-SOC team.

In multiplayer, it is not unlocked until buying the "Heavy Package" Care Package, which includes a new perk called "Machinegunner" that increases the damage of light machine guns, three Frag Grenades, and the QBB LSW.

Call of Duty: Mobile[]

"Fully automatic LMG. Highest rate of fire in its class."
— Description

The QBB LSW returns in Call of Duty: Mobile as the S36.

Multiplayer[]

The S36 is a fast firing, high damage and penetrating LMG, from 15 meters, the gun can achieve a 3 shot kill, it can 4 shot up to 37 meters, and 5 and 6 shot infinitely as long as you achieve headshots.

Its fire rate is 750 RPM, tied with the Chopper and PDW-57.

Its Aim down sight bullet spread by default is 24(14), it is almost an average of an SMG, equip attachments to reduce its bullet spread to hit enemies more often from afar.

Hipfire Bullet Spread is 270(270), average for LMGs, it has a higher chance of hitting enemies at close range.

Sprint-to-Fire Delay is 180 milliseconds, average for class.

Aim down sight time is 480 milliseconds, equip light attachments to improve its ADS time.

Mobility is average for most LMGs, it has 4.37 m/s of movement speed, and 5.68 m/s of sprinting speed.

Hit flinch is 0.9, standard for almost every LMG, Attachments like the RTC Steady Stock, or use the Toughness perk can reduce it's flinch resistance when shot.

The recoil of the S36 is moderate, mostly shoots horizontally, and it's also easy to control.

Magazine size if 60, which is lower compared to other LMGs, except for the Hades, It's extended mags can give 25-50 total magazine size, it can reach up to 100, at the same time, the mobility reduction is not too big, the S36 with or without extended mags can hold 240-440 reserve ammo, these reserves are quadrupled with the Full Ammo perk.

The S36 has a large variety of attachments to be able to equip.

The Compagnie Generale Sevier - Light Barrel, is very similar to MIP Light Barrel (Short) from some guns, can increase ADS time by 12%, movement speed by 5% and ADS movement speed by 2%, but reducing the ADS bullet spread by 11.2% and increasing vertical recoil by 5.6%.

The Compagnie Generale Sevier - Short Barrel is a very short barrel, it can slightly increase ADS Time by 4% at the cost of 20% Damage Range.

The MIP Extended Light Barrel, like the attachment for the Type 25 and AK-47, reduces ADS bullet spread by 6.4%, increases damage range by 20%, and reducing it's lateral recoil by a slight 2.4%, but it also increases it's ADS Time by 10%.

Battle Royale[]

The S36 has high damage and high rate of fire, however it has very bouncy recoil patterns. It can only found on the ground or customized in Airdrops.
