Fireproof is a Tier 3 perk in Call of Duty: World at War which reduces fire damage from burning objects, such as Molotov Cocktails and the M2 Flamethrower. It is unlocked at level 48. It is fairly overlooked and underused. Many players think this is a waste of a Tier 3 perk slot due to the rarity of encountering such weapons, however it can be useful if it is guaranteed that the player will encounter enemies with Molotovs and/or Flamethrowers (such as in Private Matches). This perk makes player be able to survive 6 hits from a flamethrower, thus allowing the player to survive up to 2 seconds before being killed by a flamethrower. It should be noted that the Flak Jacket perk, which reduces damage from explosives, also reduces damage from Molotov cocktails, making Fireproof even less useful. This perk is extremely useful on the Wii due to the frequency of flamethrowers.

- In Call of Duty: Black Ops, the pro effect of Flak Jacket has a similar effect, while also giving effects similar to the Toss Back perk.
