First-Person Shooter

A First-Person Shooter (FPS) is a game in which one sees through the eyes of the character being controlled. FPS games usually feature run and gun style gaming, though some of them do feature a bit use of strategy.
On the other hand, a Third-Person Shooter will show the character from behind, with the camera angle usually looking down at the character's back.
Call of Duty is an FPS game.
