Hello fellow call of duty players! My name is Potatoes1237, and if you didn't know, there's a page on this Wikia called Cut Content. Basically, it sums up every cut gun, map, character, area, vehicle and everything you could shake a stick at, that was cut from development in a game. We have every cut bit from Cod 2, to Bo2! But wait? What about Call of duty ghosts and Advanced Warfare?

That's why I posted this. We haven't updated our cut content page since bo2, but there's still stuff out there! So I'm wishing and hoping we can start a friendly forum that teaches people how to search for content, and also for people to put out what they've found on any games files, so other people can go search and check, before posting on the actual page of Cut Content, so we don't have a bunch of false info on a page. But why should you care about cut content?

Well, take cod4 and Bo1. Inside Cod4 files, images for Favela and Invasion were included, so it's useful to predict maps for sequels. Also, in Bo1 files, images for Discivery and a few others like Hotel were supposed to be included in the original game, but we're released as DLC, so cut maps can be useful to speculate future DLC. Other than supposed DLC, complety unused things are interesting as well. We already have info on unused content with such as ghosts and advanced warfare, with the Marijuana camo, barbed wire camos(there's multiple) and Advanced Warafare with all the new released camos left in files on Charlie Intels page,(which needs to be checked, which agains implies the importance of my forum idea) and the hidden out of map RPG from MW3 in THROTTLE, which is cut, because if you exo-glide with the rpg, it sways(very badly) when you move, which doesn't happen in mw3, and I'm not talking about running swaying, but Exo swaying. Apparently, there's a difference. So please take my idea of encouraging people to explore the files and post on my pre-check and double check forum, before updating the cut content page(and it really needs one) please contact me if you have ANY questions, and I'll get back to you guys as soon as possible. Thanks for reading! Potatoes1237 (talk) 03:51, March 3, 2015 (UTC)

This sounds like a great overhaul project for our newer games. It would be equally great if anything can be found that hasn't yet been found from older games. As I've said though, I wouldn't be of much help towards finding things directly within the game files, since I don't do PC, and instead do PS3. Nonetheless, I do try to find cut content when I can on the web. http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/276/1/2/bionicle__unity_duty_destiny_by_cyberpictures-d6p3li2.pngLegos-Rule-15 Talk 05:53, March 3, 2015 (UTC)

This would be a pretty fantastic overhaul project actually. That being said, outside of weapons seen in trailers, I haven't seen much in the way of hidden/cut content in the past few games (by that, I mean videos of them on YouTube). Unfortunately, like Legos, I won't be much help with finding any of the cut content either. Conqueror of all Zombies (talk) 06:10, March 3, 2015 (UTC)

Perhaps AS2, Sam, Vera, or U94N would be of good help for this project? More than half of them are on PC; Vera is always getting models for weapons and other items, and is the main reason we have as much cut content as we do; and U94N is good at finding this sort of stuff, whether by searching or game files. http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/276/1/2/bionicle__unity_duty_destiny_by_cyberpictures-d6p3li2.pngLegos-Rule-15 Talk 07:24, March 3, 2015 (UTC)

I just want to point out the RPG in AW technically isn't cut since it's actually available to get under normal circumstances (no need to use the console commands). And even then it's all just reused MW3 assets.

Point taken, I'll stop using the rpg as a example, and REALYY the whole point of this is too get our content page going again. I think my forum would be of some help, but if everyone thinks otherwise, that's okay, but I still see use in it. For anyone who has recommended somebody here, can we get those guys here? Potatoes1237 (talk) 11:29, March 3, 2015 (UTC)

The thing is, Ghosts and AW have differently encrypted files that we never got in to, lest we'd be using game file images for the CaC images. So we never got in to the files to find any cut content, or else Vera would have likely found it while a go. I think the reason the cut content page stopped was because it became far more difficult for us to actually find any cut content. 11:42, March 3, 2015 (UTC)

Another point taken, thanks for taking this seriously Sam, I love friendly criticism! Anyway, I do know for a fact that even IF it might be harder to reach, there are tools for instance for GHOSTS like the Ghosts Toolset, that was made for modding but was dummies out. This toolset allowed you to go through files easily, and now with no point to mod, people still use it to cycle through cut items from Capture the Flag (Sadly) to this unknown item called Halogen Gas. (And there is a similar item I beileve Halon gas(correct me if I'm wrong on the name) was used on Soverign as a "fog" like gas, but this item is to be believed to act a little like Manticore from AW) I'm not going to list everything I know (there's more than you expect, but still a lot more to find) so items that MAY be used for modding, may be a good source for going through files, but I know some people reading this might be going: "but modding is against our policy!" I know. Don't mod, just use the tool. But you can still just go through the files normally, but depending the file, it might give you a hard time. Which bringing back the forum idea, might once again show importance on telling people good file viewing tools so people can search with knowing what they are doing 100% Once again, please anyone who thinks they have something to say, say it. I'll be here, also I'm usually in chat tossing ideas, so if I'm there, and if you have something small, that's cool too. But anything huge should go here, cuz I cycle through back chat and here. Thanks!!! 32.216.176.217 18:27, March 3, 2015 (UTC)

Ah! Sorry mates, I did that whole thing above in a not signed in account. Here's the real signature. Sorry mates. Potatoes1237 (talk) 18:30, March 3, 2015 (UTC)

Hello EVRYONE! Well, it seems like all my hard work of telling people unused content was out there, more people have been talking about it, which is awesome! It seems people have been posting unused content on its own separate page, like Halogen Gas, unused Ghosts Multiplayer Event, has it's own page, but should be posted in the Unused Content Page. We need searchers and editors, so we have started talking about digging, but I'm starting now, so I hope you, the community, will as well. So please, spread the word. As in my "overhaul" idea for this pre-check and double check forum idea of mine, I still beileve it's useful, because unused content is harder to verify, due to its harder to access location, so people would have to verify by having other people check before posting, mso it's not anarchy. I've talked about my idea, and there hasn't been a yes or no, but more of questions instead of anwsers, which is fine, and mainly the questions have been like: Be more clear on the whole idea, and how it would benefit has a whole. So usually most of this has been happening in the chat room, but anything important or any updates, will be diffentry be posted here. Thanks! Hello everyone! Here's a quick update letting EVRYONE know that I have started updating the Cut Content page with Ghosts. Also, somebody else has been looking at the same the sources I'm using, but instead of posting each cut content item on the Cut Content page, that person has given each item its own article, which is a little unesasary, but for the time being, is pretty okay. So now, more and more people are updating, which stresses my idea of the forum check. Please, anyone who has any tips or input, feel free. Potatoes1237 (talk) 05:27, March 4, 2015 (UTC)Potatoes1237

So, if you're updating the page with the sources you had. What's the point of this forum? 10:24, March 4, 2015 (UTC)
I think he's hoping to get users involved in searching for more cut content. That, and updating the Cut Content page. http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/276/1/2/bionicle__unity_duty_destiny_by_cyberpictures-d6p3li2.pngLegos-Rule-15 Talk 15:52, March 4, 2015 (UTC)
We already have users looking in the files. And if we already have the info then any user can simply move it on to the page. 16:04, March 4, 2015 (UTC)

Legos is speaking my mind. Look at it this way, we don't have a link to the Cut Content page, unless you search it, so less people know about it. Also, I've said before, my page idea would give tips for people looking to start searching for Cut Content. Like before, I said it was harder to reach and find, and we wouldn't have a bunch of people saying OHHHHH Guys look there's this magical rainbow pony in the code! (Hey you never know). It would harder to verify this info, and takes time searching through files. Again, I've said it before. Potatoes1237 (talk) 20:23, March 4, 2015 (UTC)Potatoes1237

To be honest, that sounds about the same as putting a bunch of people on a boat and telling them "find something new". We already have some users looking in the files, but we can't force finding cut content. I do not think this forum needs to be open any longer if the original issue has been solved. 10:14, March 9, 2015 (UTC)

Closed- Per Sam; we currently have users working on finding cut content and the cut content page has been updated. Conqueror of all Zombies (talk) 23:47, March 9, 2015 (UTC)
