This idea was taken directly from Bandipedia however it was compulsory over there. Let's not cite COD:NOT as this is still a legitimate proposal.
I've noticed that the front page lacks a portal, which contains useful links to parts of the wiki. This would be useful to link the users to parts of the wiki that maybe they would not have thought to see otherwise. We could link new users to the Watercooler, War Room, categories for articles and other features.
Seeing as it is now compulsory to allow the wiki to be spotlighted, okay we already meet this spec, just the portals are a bit...eh we should be doing this anyway however it would be another great idea to encourage new users to come to the site because the Watercooler lacks activity and users have no real place to find easily where they can discuss Call of Duty.

- I was thinking within the Portals section, underneath the games. It wouldn't take up much more room.

- that might work well. we could put the community portal above the games portals, then put a heading that says "games" and put the games under that, then make some sort of other heading saying something like "content" with categories or - when applicable - portals, with things like weapons, maps, equipment, info on major topics like the extra game modes (e.g. zombies mode), etc., under that content heading. we should have a picture to represent each category and portal i think though, as long as it doesnt make the page load too much slower.
