This is sadly a month late so I don't know if the deal is still valid, but I received this message on my talk page on Nov 18th:
Hey there, Callofduty4. My name is Doug and I'm a member of Wikia's Community Development Team! Wikia has recently updated a new admin tool for videos called Licensed Video Swap. This is a new tool that allows admins to quickly swap videos embedded videos on your wiki from outside providers (such as Youtube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, etc) to the same (or very similar) video that exists on Wikia Video. The benefit being that the videos hosted on Wikia Video are fully licensed and will never be removed for a licensing issues.
You can read about the updates to the tool on this staff blog. and I am available to help you if you would like any assistance switching any videos out on your wiki, it's your call. Thank you and have a good one!

I would like to reply sometime soon, but it's probably better to get a discussion behind it first. So what do we think? 21:34, December 18, 2013 (UTC)

Seems fine with me. Licensing unlicensed videos by replacing the with licensed Wikia videos is a defo good thing. -- SlavTalk 21:52, December 18, 2013 (UTC)
Would this restrict us to just those videos, or is it just an additional tool? Joe Copp 22:53, December 18, 2013 (UTC)
I don't see why not. Kylet357 · talk 23:33, December 18, 2013 (UTC)
- Closed - Pretty much dead. No real opposition, but I don't really see much cause for discussion anyway. 04:42, January 24, 2014 (UTC)
