Fandom/Wikia recently contacted me regarding if we wanted to have a temporary wordmark made by them for Feb 10-12 involving branding from Mega Construx. Given I didn't want to reply for the whole wiki I'm trying to fast track it here so I can tell what the overall community thinks. I'm personally on the fence because to a degree I think having some connection to a company that makes CoD related products may actually help promote us a bit. 18:55, January 24, 2017 (UTC)

Update - I linked the forum to Cavalier One so hopefully that will help with the "how will it look" question (one I sort of have as well). Also they would prefer an answer by the end of the week, so hopefully we can hear back about that fact so we can fast track this as efficiently as possible.

Really depends on how it looks. Twig (Talk) GLnUhiE.png 19:00, January 24, 2017 (UTC)

I'm with Twig here. I'd really like to see what they were planning on doing before agreeing to it. I really don't want to say yes and have it a large, super obnoxious and distracting thing. Conqueror of all Zombies (talk) 19:18, January 24, 2017 (UTC)

Hi! At the moment, we are gauging interest in whether the community would be interested in the temporary wordmark so we don't have an actual mock up at the moment. However, the wiki would get final approval on any design before it goes live. - Cavalier One Talk

That's a shame. I see no harm in it though, especially since it'll only be for a few days. Conqueror of all Zombies (talk) 22:19, January 25, 2017 (UTC)

I'd be up for it. Should we do a vote? Capt. MillerTalk 03:41, January 28, 2017 (UTC)

VoteEdit

Given it's Saturaday best to move this to a quick vote like Miller said. For ease just use a support or oppose template. 05:33, January 28, 2017 (UTC)
  1. Pictogram voting support Support — Short amount of time, we'll get a say on the wordmark if anything is wrong and may cause a small amount of attraction for us. 05:33, January 28, 2017 (UTC)
  2. Pictogram voting support Support — It's only for a couple of days and we get final say on how it looks. I don't see any harm in this what so ever. Conqueror of all Zombies (talk) 17:10, January 28, 2017 (UTC)
  3. Pictogram voting support Support — Yep, as long as we get the possibility to see the design beforehand. HBRa3 menu icon AW Ultimate94ninja talk · contribs 17:38, January 28, 2017 (UTC)
  4. Pictogram voting support Support — Per CoaZ and ninja. Capt. MillerTalk 15:25, January 29, 2017 (UTC)

Mock upEdit

Thanks for the support vote! I've put the mock-up for the logo below:

As you can see, it is not that different from the current wordmark. Let me know what you think! - Cavalier One Talk 14:56, February 7, 2017 (UTC)

  1. Pictogram voting support Support — Looks fine to me. Doesn't appear obtrusive in any way, nor does it detract from the overall theme. 16:16, February 7, 2017 (UTC)
  2. Pictogram voting support Support — Aye. HBRa3 menu icon AW Ultimate94ninja talk · contribs 16:41, February 7, 2017 (UTC)
  3. Pictogram voting support Support — Per Sam. I have literally no issue with this what-so-ever. Conqueror of all Zombies (talk) 18:04, February 7, 2017 (UTC)
  4. Pictogram voting support Support — We actually got asked about it first!? There's a nice change. Looks good, probably won't have any effect on anything either which has both its advantages and disadvantages. I'm behind this for a temporary change.
