I just did a test with the F2000 silenced/unsilenced, and I found the unsilenced version has less recoil. Doesn't a silencer reduce recoil?

Suppressors have no deal in recoil whatsoever. People say silencers reduce recoil because it eliminates the muzzle flash, otherwise the firing is notably easier to handle. Sotalitefella 04:25, August 19, 2010 (UTC)

Not sure about MW2-world but in the real one silencers or suppressors actually moderately increase recoil. They trap some of the energy that is normally carried by the bullet. That energy is literally caught in the device fitted to the barrel and therefore stays in the weapon rather than flying out of the front of it.

I have found that with some guns the recoil is less, but with some (like the F2000 you tried it with) it is more. Momo28 01:07, September 16, 2010 (UTC)
