So as we can see at the Runescape wikia there is a page counter, where it count all visits since January 2011. So i suggest that this wiki can do the same, it wouldn't add much to your wiki but its at least interesting.

Pros: we should get an good overview about how much traffic this wiki get on daily weekly and monthly averages, it doesn't take up much space, it will be placed where the tab display how many pages this wiki have at the moment.

COD:NOT#...other wikis -- -- mr_expert talk 17:40, August 2, 2011 (UTC)

Per Mr. Expert; just because another wiki does something doesn't mean we are required to do the same thing. Raven's wing Talk17:43, August 2, 2011 (UTC)

We actually have a sitemeter system set up to do something more useful than just show us how many people have visited our site. It allows us (well, me and Sactage) to see what's being searched. Also I'm not too fond of the sitemeter visit count anyway.  FANMADE_Animated_Derpy_Hooves_desktop_ponies_sprite.gif Sig1.png Sig2.png  20:27, August 2, 2011 (UTC)

What use would a site meter be again? Smuff[citation provided] 20:34, August 2, 2011 (UTC)

I always wondered how Callofduty4 knew what was being searched. I like the idea but I don't see what purpose it'd serve to the average editor. Now to the average troll or fanboy on the other hand...

"0h l3wk, BF w1k1 g3ts m0ar traff1c den c0d wiki cuz bf iz b3ttah."
or
"0h l3wk, c0d w1k1 g3ts m0ar traff1c den BF wiki cuz c0d iz b3ttah." .

If someone really wants or needs to know that badly I imagine someone would tell them if they asked. Carbonite 0 20:38, August 2, 2011 (UTC)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there doesn't seem to be a reason not to include this feature. It would be of some use from time to time. Shotrocket6 (T/C/E) 22:10, August 2, 2011 (UTC)

I fully agree whit Shotrocket6 there isn't a reason why this track counter shouldt be added, there isn't any negative sides about it, it just make a new feature to the wikia. Maxwell123 23:16, August 2, 2011 (UTC)

Sigh... Yet again, a new feature has been suggested for no reason other than "this wiki does it, so CoD Wiki should do it too". That is not a legitimate reason for suggesting something. Sgt. S.S. 10:45, August 3, 2011 (UTC)

Per this policy: COD:NOT. Major Rank MarinesReznov115TalkTactical Nuke inventory icon MW2 16:49, August 3, 2011 (UTC)

I like the idea because I'm curious about how much traffic the wiki gets. Black Ops Official logoPoketape Talk 20:34, August 3, 2011 (UTC)

From monitoring the search queries, I can tell you that we get a damn lot. I know it doesn't answer your question exactly, but we do get a lot of traffic.  FANMADE_Animated_Derpy_Hooves_desktop_ponies_sprite.gif Sig1.png Sig2.png  21:23, August 3, 2011 (UTC)
In about 3 seconds (the amount of time the script to fetch the search queries runs for) we get like 75 search queries.  FANMADE_Animated_Derpy_Hooves_desktop_ponies_sprite.gif Sig1.png Sig2.png  21:24, August 3, 2011 (UTC)

Sgt. S.S. and Reznov115 fail to realize that we are not asking about the grounds on which this was suggested, but instead whether we should include it. Shotrocket6 (T/C/E) 21:30, August 3, 2011 (UTC)

But the OP thinks we should include it for no reason other than another wiki does it. Per COD:NOT, that isn't a good enough reason to suggest this. Sgt. S.S. 11:17, August 4, 2011 (UTC)

Pictogram voting oppose Oppose — This would be a useless addition to the wiki. You can just ask CoD4 if you want to know how many visits we get. Personal Conqueror of all Zombies Ireland flagCoaZTalkPersonal Conqueror of all Zombies Ireland flag 18:27, August 4, 2011 (UTC)

Pictogram voting comment Comment — Why are we opening a vote so soon. We need to discuss it properly. -- -- mr_expert talk 12:23, August 3, 2011 (UTC)

Pictogram voting comment Comment — I find it an bit awkward to go and ask callofduty4 just because about how many visits each tread has at the moment, this feature remove the Need to ask cod4 thing.

Dosnt you guys agree, this problem is solved if we add that page counter that show automaticaly how mutch we have at the given time. -- Maxwell123 21:36, August 4, 2011 (UTC)

Pictogram voting comment Comment — I know about Quantcast the website it good, but Site Meter is in statisticaly terms a counter that display how many times this wikia has been a visited since the start day, i agree that this will not give mutch to the average editor.

Ok lets take the TF2 Wiki as an exsample - if you go to the website and go to the bottum of the page the total visits is 9 million, dosent that make a better reward for all the hours spent on just editng pages ?

Overall i dont think people here understand in general that the counter is minor iditonal to the wikia, that will be good for some small reasons. -- --Maxwell123 11:04, August 5, 2011 (UTC) --Maxwell123 11:04, August 5, 2011 (UTC)
