The Grappling Hook is a weapon in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. In campaign it is available in two missions involving the Specialist exo type (Utopia and Sentinel), and one involving the Assault type (Throttle). It seems to be readily accessible to the Sentinel Task Force, but less commonly used in the Atlas Corporation. The device seems to be a metallic box with a harpoon inside of it that is put on the forearm of an Exoskeleton. It is possible to rip enemies out of their XS1 Goliaths with the Grappling Hook. It has the added ability to allow the user to grapple on ledges and zip towards the ledge, allowing the user to speed around the map and up ledges. The grappling hook can also be used to grapple onto Atlas operated VTOLs, allowing the player to take down the VTOL by killing the occupants inside.

In Multiplayer, it can be used in the AscendanceSupremacy and Reckoning DLC playlists, under Grapple. It appears to operate similarly to its singleplayer counterpart, being used as both a mobility tool as well as a backup weapon. The grapple has two uses before it needs to be charged (three with Overcharged).
