Dr. Groph is a character that is mentioned in the radios found in the zombie map, Moon.

He was a Group 935 scientist that was appointed as the head scientist at Griffin Station, and was assigned the task of discovering how the M.P.D. worked. He is Schuster's superior. The two were presumably killed or zombified after Samantha was absorbed by the M.P.D and Maxis was subsequently shot; however, it is unknown at the point. He has very good memory from a quote that Richtofen says during the Simon Says part of Richtofen's Grand Scheme.
