In The Only Easy Day... Was Yesterday, Captain MacTavish commanded a joint operation between Task Force 141 and U.S. Navy SEAL at the Vikhorevka 36 Oil Platform approximately 100 miles east of the Petropavlovsk Gulag in 2016.
Hotel Team was separated into two teams, Team One was assigned to secure three separate sets of hostages being held captive by Ultranationalist forces, while Team Two was to extract them off the oil rig.

Team One primarily used silenced MP5Ks with red dot sights and holstered USP .45s, while Roach used a M4A1 SOPMOD and a silenced SCAR-H with a thermal scope. After the second breach, Team One removed their silencers.
Team Two primarily used silenced M4A1s and silenced MP5Ks with holstered USP .45s, with Zach initially using a MP5K later switching to a M4A1, and one of the two randomly named operatives initially using a M4A1 later switching to a MP5K.

In the mission Trojan Horse, Hotel Team appeared as Metropolitan Police Service Specialist Firearms Officers. They, alongside the help of Task Force 141, were tasked with securing the Channel Tunnel and preventing Vladimir Makarov from denoting the bomb that was planted there.
