  • When a player looks at Price in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, his rank remains unabbreviated - a trait shared with "Soap" MacTavish and General Shepherd in Team Player.
  • Price's weapon of choice appears to be the M4A1.

  • When Kamarov, Soap, Price, and Gaz are sniping from the bridge in Blackout, if the player neutralizes multiple enemies with one shot, Price will say something like, "Nice shot. MacMillan would've been proud." or "MacMillan would be impressed."
  • If one looks at the Contingency Museum display that Price is in they'll find that his animation is exactly the same one that is performed in F.N.G. when he first meets Soap.
  • In Endgame, just before the player gets on the Zodiac, if the player looks at Price's name, his rank is abbreviated unlike usual. The abbreviated rank can also be seen just before Soap and Price fall off the waterfall.
  • His serial number at the end of Endgame is 9051210.
  • He knows Russian and Arabic.
  • Even in the SAS pictures of Price, he has the beard from The Gulag even though he had only a mustache before.

  • He is one of the four characters that appeared in all three Modern Warfare games. The others were John "Soap" MacTavish, Overlord, and Nikolai.
  • Price is one of three known characters to have been in all three Modern Warfare games and survive, the others being Overlord and Nikolai.
  • In the Redemption Single Player trailer of Modern Warfare 3, at the part where Price was pulling the UGV out of the crate, he was wearing the TF141 uniform he wore on Endgame. However, in the actual gameplay, he wears an olive drab uniform without the TF141 patches.
  • Dust to Dust is the only mission during which Price speaks as a playable character.

  • Near the end of Dust to Dust, the player can see Price's own reflection in the breaking glass, and the reflection is a video called "dubai_reflection.bik". This isn't shown in the Wii version.
  • In the Dew XP promotion, the Combat Card of Price states that his main weapon of choices are the CM901 and the MSR, despite never using them in-game.
  • In an interview with a character designer for Infinity Ward, it is stated that Price is the grandson of the Price from Call of Duty and Call of Duty 2.[1]
  • Chronologically, Price is both the first and last character played as in the Modern Warfare series. He is playable in 1996 in the flashback missions in Pripyat in Call of Duty 4 and is playable in the last mission in Modern Warfare 3, Dust to Dust. In other words, those missions begin and end the story.
  • Price is one of the four characters in the Modern Warfare series who were present during the mission in Chenobly in 1996 to make until 2017. The others being MacMillan, Yuri, and Makarov. Price and MacMillian are also the ones to survive until 2017
  • Price is the only playable character to see his reflection in the Modern Warfare series.
  • MacMillan was the only person that calls Price by his first name, John. This can be heard on "Return to Sender" and "Stronghold" briefing mission.
  • He's the only playable character to meet Makarov face to face and live.
  • Price is the only playable character in the Modern Warfare Series to smoke a cigar while in the players point of view as seen in Dust to Dust.
  • In the first mission of the Modern Warfare series, Price smokes a cigar before repelling down the Black Hawk. In the last mission of Modern Warfare 3Dust to Dust, after the player kills Makarov, Price smokes another cigar. This means Price started the Modern Warfare series with a cigar, and ended the Modern Warfare series with a cigar.
