MAC-10
From the Call of Duty Wiki
The MAC-10 (Military Armament Corporation Model 10, Officially the M10) is a very compact machine pistol developed by Gordon Ingram in 1964.It is a simple and very compact design, making it very easy and simple to mass-produce.
However, those factors and its incredibly high rate of fire (1090 rpm for the 9mm model and 1145 rpm for the .45 ACP model) make it very difficult to control the gun in full-auto. This meant that the MAC-10 didn't really find much success with the US Military, but it did see limited service in Vietnam.
It also must be noted that it was used by the Special Air Service prior to their adoption of the MP5.
[edit] In game
The MAC-10 is unique to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Nintendo DS). It is basically the weapon equivalent of the Mini-Uzi from the console game. It has a 40-round magazine and a much slower rate of fire than in real life, though it is still quite fast. It's used quite often in the SAS missions, but it is not found in USMC missions until "Missile Away". It is an overall good gun because of its large magazine.
[edit] Trivia
- Out of both of the DS games so far, the MAC-10 has the highest rate of fire. What is odd about this is that no weapons in Call of Duty: World at War can even compare to this, namely the PPSh-41.
