MG34
From the Call of Duty Wiki
The MG34, or Machinengewehr 34, was a German machine gun fielded in 1934. Though the Treaty of Versailles specifically prohibited Germany from producing any kind of sustained-fire weapon, they circumvented this by funding its development in Switzerland. This development produced an aircraft machine gun, the Rheinmetall MG15, from which the MG 34 was born. Considered one of the finest machine gun designs in history, the MG34 saw service on all fronts of the war often found en masse with the MG42 as well.

The MG34 is the Axis' machine gun of choice. It accepts ammo from 75-round drums, and, like the M1919, it has little recoil and does good damage per shot. However, it has the highest rate of fire of the machine guns, making it ideal for "spray and pray". Its accuracy is quite low, but the high fire rate gives the weapon an extreme advantage as you can saturate the area with rounds in seconds.
[edit] Call of Duty 2: Big Red One
Found in few levels, it is similar to MGs of Call of Duty 3, in which you immediately go prone while aiming down the sights.
[edit] Call of Duty 3
The MG34 is used by Axis players who choose the support class. It has a magazine capacity of 75 cartridges, and an extremely high rate of fire. This weapons and its American counter-part are the heaviest weapons in the game. This weapon is only accurate when prone, and aiming down sights. It is very much like it was in the previous games.
