All current machine pistols are labeled as such in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Machine pistols usually have a lower range, more recoil, and higher rate of fire than submachine guns. Like all submachine guns in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, machine pistols can be used with Akimbo, allowing the player to independently fire two machine pistols at once. Compared to the submachine guns with Akimbo, the machine pistols with the same attachment are generally more accurate.
