"War has no friends, Reyes. Perhaps my motivations were selfish, but I have no intention of fighting out here alone."
— Maureen Ferran to Nick Reyes.

Captain Maureen Ferran is a character in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

Biography[]

Ferran was the Commanding Officer of the UNSA Tigris DDX, one of only two ships left operational after the SDF's sneak attack on the UNSA fleet over Geneva. Admiral Raines immediately tasked Tigris and Retribution with re-taking the Lunar Gateway from the SDF.

When Nick Reyes and Ethan were lost in space over Titan, Lt. Salter was insubordinate, circumventing Admiral Raines’ clear instructions regarding SAR for the missing man and machine when he denied her request; she then communicated with Captain Ferran, arguing that while he had refused Salter’s request, he had issued no such order to the Captain of Tigris, thereby giving Captain Ferran plausible deniability in launching a SAR mission on her own initiative and authority. Indulging in a perilously close to insubordinate act of her own, Captain Ferran ordered Tigris to jump back into the area to search for Reyes & Ethan, saving both their lives at great personal risk to herself and her crew, showing her dedication to her comrades (though she herself claimed her motives were selfish, unwilling to carry on the fight against the SDF without her only fellow ship's captain).

Ferran was killed when Tigris was lured into an SDF ambush, and destroyed with all hands aboard.

She left behind two daughters.

Captain's log[]

"Ferran, a time-tested commander, helms the UNSA destroyer Tigris in the SATO fleet. A close friend of Commander Alder, former Captain of the UNSA Retribution, Ferran has fought side by side with other seasoned commanders throughout the SDF conflict."
