Captain Mercer is a US National Guard who appears in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3: Defiance.
Playing only a small part, Mercer and Sgt. Benson appear pinned down by Russian forces at a water treatment facility. Sgt. Franks and his team breach the facility and eliminate the Russians. Mercer then informs them a convoy of Russian armours and transports are on their way to Hoover Dam and their orders are to eliminate them.
