The Messerschmitt Bf 109 (or Me 109) is a fighter aircraft that served the German Luftwaffe during World War II.

In Game

They first appeared in Call of Duty: United Offensive, where they attack Sgt. Doyle's B-17 Flying Fortress. The player is tasked with defending their bomber from being shot down.

In Call of Duty 2: Big Red One, the player takes control of the ball gun turret on a B-24. Again the player is attacked by numerous flights of Bf-109's. Just like in Call of Duty: United Offensive, the player must defend his bombers from the fighters.

In Call of Duty: Roads to Victory, the player will take control of the front turret on a B-24, player will be attacked by over 150 Bf-109s, the player not only has to keep the bomber from being shot down, but also has to escort the lead plane.

In Call of Duty: World at War, it was originally going to appear as the Carpet Bomber killstreak for the Wehrmacht, but it was scrapped during development.

In Call of Duty: Black Ops III, it appears in Zombies mode on the map Gorod Krovi. One is seen to the right of the power building and some engaged in a dogfight with Soviet Yak-9s above the map.
